2004 Ford Thunderbird Description

You are bidding on a 2004 Ford Thunderbird in Light Ice Blue Metallic with the standard blackish/blue interior. I purchased the vehicle new at Star Ford in Glendale, California in 2005 and have been its only owner since then. 181709 miles are all mine.

What can I say? It's been my daily driver for the past 12 years and has carried me to work, music gigs, a wedding, a divorce, seven western states, and many existential road trips of the soul. It has been my main horse for twelve years and has been regularly serviced but it's finally time to let go.

Current Issues

• Check engine light is on. It's possible that this might be a malfunction of the "check engine" alert system itself.
• Transmission shifts hard.
• Scratches on back-right bumper
• Ding on side of left-rear fender (see photo)
• Potential issues with the thermostat and cooling. In twelve years I've been stranded twice when the cooling system has failed. It's a moderate hassle but it never given me pause from going on long trips.
• "Thunderbird" emblem on left-rear fender is missing part of it's serif. A replacement is included but it was never installed.
• A/C doesn't blow cold, only tepid.
• Struts and suspension need a complete overhaul and/or replacing.
• Wheel rims need to be refinished.
• Driver's carpet worn through. I'm ashamed that I let this one go.

• Front brakes replaced in April 2013 (125732mi)
• Front left wheel bearing replaced in November 2014 (149049mi)
