This is a rare piece of Hot Rod history! This 1935 Ford 3W Coupe was built in 1979 as astate of the art,nut and bolt Project. The previous owner a well known film maker in the hot rod/drag racing industry, claim this to be the first pro street car ever built for street use! The carwasmeticulously put together, professionallytubbed androof shopped 2,5"nearly 40 years ago. The bodywork on this car is absolutely astonishing, considering the age of the build. There where no wheels to buy from the shelves for a pro street car like this in 1978, so the ownerhad Ray Lipper to build a set for this spesific car. As you may know Ray Lipperlater became the founder of the well known Centerline Wheels. The Wheels on this car is said to be the only set made, and are considdered as prototypes.
This 3W coup looks right from any angle. It has a nasty attitude, butlooks absolutelygorgeous at the same time. Theall original rust free steel body, frame, bumpers, doorsand fenders are perfectly assembeled and lined up. This is a highquality build. Everything on this carwas done right, back thenin 1979. Considerable amount of time and moneywas put into this car to get it perfect.According to the previous owner, nobondo/filler wasused on the bodyprior to Paint! The body work is nearly 100%! In factyou could take this car to a show even today, and bring home a price or two. The last Paint job/make over was done 10 years ago, House of Colour Brandy whine.
Crisp responce, nasty sounding 350 SBC engine (very low milage),with matchingTH 400 transmission and Hurst Lightning Rods shifter. 4" dropped and chromed superbell four linkfront axle, and 8 3/4" Mopar rear end With P&Jladders. Disc/drum brakes, air conditioning, power windows, power door release, tilt/telescope GM column. The car has beendriven on the road in the summer, mainlyto and from different car shows and exhibitions the last threeyears. Noproblems or issues whatsoever. Having said this, please remember this is an old hot rod. The vehicle is not perfect. There are scretches and flaws in the Paint, and also minormechanical issues to be adressed. The car is located in Norway where I live. It appears exactly as it was made nearly 40 years ago, the first pro street car, historically correct, untuched, and unaltered. Atrue piece of hot rod history, and a true trendsetter.Iwill assist in getting the vhicleshipped from Europe at buyers cost (approximately$2000).The car comes with an american title/VIN.
