2002 Ford Explorer XLT Description

I have a beautiful 2 owner and well maintained explorer for sale. This truck was bought new by an older couple and owned for 13 yrs before selling in 2015. It has never hauled kids, dogs, or engine blocks. The interior is just short of being perfect. The exterior is lovely as well. It has just over 150k but looks like 50k. I know people throw these terms around loosely but I mean it! Look at the photos. So nice and clean.
This is the 4.6 XLT v-8 with an unused tow package. It is tow rated up to 7000 lbs so it is ready for camper/boat duty. Since this is and XLT model it has all your basic power amenities plus power drivers seat and optional leather interior. The leather is in incredible shape. No rips or tears. Just some slight cracking from sliding in and out of drivers seat.The truck drives great. I have made a few road trips and it will run 80mph with the cruise set all day long. No funny noises and no vibrations. Just a great runner. The A/C is painfully cold and the heat is hot. Very effective climate control.I have a list of recent service listed below
-intake manifold was recently replaced ( this is a big expensive job $800)-fuel injector-ball joints ( not cheap either)-brakes-hankook tires new last summer-wheel bearings new last year-oil change wiper blades and all filters-fresh emissions in hand
This truck has always been serviced with motor craft 5w-20 synthetic blend oil with k and n hp2010 oil filters. This first owner made notes of all this.
Cons- nothing major but worthy of noting.-slight dent near rear corner in drivers side fender. Very small and not too noticeable. See pic. This is the minor incident on the carfax.-It has the common crack on liftgate that plagues all Explorers, Mountaineers AND my wifes 2005 Lincoln Aviator. These 3 suvs all share this same platform and design. -One rear passenger side window does not roll down. Motor works but plastic clip broke. I never have anyone in back seat so I did not bother fixing. Ford told me they break due to LACK of use. Makes sense to me since nobody has ever been back there!
