1969 Ford Mustang Description

I purchased this car from a friend who owned this car since he was in high school. His grandmother bought the car brand new in 1969 and he owned it from the mid-80s until I bought is three years ago. I have kept it in my garage the entire time and drive it about once a week, spring through fall; and never in the rain. My friend and his mechanicdid all of the work on the car and I have all of the receipts for everything. Here are the major features:
  • 351 Windsor SVO engine with holley 4 barrel carb. Only ~2500 miles on the motor.
  • C4 comp transmission w/ reverse valvebody and B&M mega shifter.(You have to do the shifting but there is no clutch)
  • MSD ignition
  • NOS Inc. Nitrous system
  • Currie 9 inch rear end with 4.11 Detroit Locker
  • SSB disc brakes in front, drums rear.
  • Monaco Bucket seats in front, original rear bench seat.
The car is set up for drag racing (although I never took it to the track). It has manual steering, no heat, no AC. The only thing getting power from the motor is the alternator and back wheels. The car is equipped with a Pioneer CD player && 12-disc changer. There are two amps and the sub-woofer box in the back. The door speakers that you see in the pictures are not connected, all of the sound comes from the 6x9s in the rear and the sub woofers. It isn't perfect but it gets the job done.
I have the car listed locally, therefore the mileage may vary slightly from what is listed here. I have included the mileage that is on the odometer, but the engine itself only has ~2500 miles on it. Because the transmission is modified, you will noticed that the speedometer (and therefore odometer are off). The speedometer reads higher than you are actually going. When it shows 70 you are going about 55. Also, the brake light is illuminated because it is also not connected, but the entire brake system has been redone within the last 2500 miles as well. After driving the car, you will notice about a quarter-sized drop of transmission fluid from the transmission due to heat. I took it to my mechanic and he checked it out and said that it wasn't worth messing with until the transmission needed a major service. I constantly monitor the transmission fluid and have not had to add any additional fluid (the leak is very minor) since owning the vehicle. The tires are serviceable but I would recommend replacing them before any doing any serious drag racing.
