Need a truck to haul your horse trailer, utility trailer, or other equipment? MotoeXotica Classic Cars has a solution, this 1976 Ford F250 4x4 pickup truck that is fifth wheel equipped and has been lovingly cared for by the same owner for the past 19 years and it really shows!
This particular unit emerged from Ford’s Oakville, Ontario, Canada assembly plant in June 1976 and it has undergone a recent cosmetic restoration. Its white and Bright Red two-tone paint is in good overall condition, as is the truck’s trim. The truck’s windows are mostly clear and intact while its lights are in good overall shape. The truck rides on Michelin LTX A/S tires, size 235/85R16, at all four corners, with factory wheel covers. This truck’s body panels are in overall very good order, straight and solid. Out back is a new, corrugated steel flatbed with the former company’s livery complete with fifth wheel trailer hook up. The engine bay is in decent order and the battery looks good. This truck’s front bumper is in very good order. In 1975 (1976 model year), this familiar "split-grille" design was given a slight facelift to feature black accents around the headlights and a refined overall appearance.
Under that wide, white hood is Ford’s 360 CID V-8 engine with a two-barrel carburetor, backed by a three-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 60 limited-slip rear differential with 4.10 gearing. In front, is a Ford differential with power steering. The 360 engine was introduced in 1968 and phased out at the end of the 1976-year run; it was used in the Ford F Series trucks and pickups. It has a bore of a 390 and used the 352's 3.5 inches rotating assembly. 360s were also constructed with heavy-duty internal components for truck use. Use of a standard 352/390 cam for use in passenger cars along with carburetor and distributor adjustment allowed the 360 to give performance similar to that of the 352 and 390 car engines. The 360 used the same block, heads and other parts as a 390, making them indistinguishable from each other unless the stroke is measured.
Inside, the red vinyl bench seat is in overall good condition, the red carpet is in good shape and the white metal instrument panel provides a good contrast to the red. The original two-spoke steering wheel is in good condition, as are the red vinyl sections of the inner door panels. The mirror glass looks good, as do the gearshift levers for the automatic transmission and transfer case selector. Rounding out the interior are a passenger grab bar and a factory AM/FM radio. Truck is equipped with factory power brakes and steering.
Competition to this F250 in 1976 included Chevrolet’s and GMC’s K20 trucks and Dodge’s Power Wagons.
This truck is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 84,400 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
