This is a very well maintained truck with only 104,105 miles.
The powerful 6.0L Turbo Diesel engine is just getting broken in. (I bought it in 2007 with 29,000 miles.)
The interior and exterior are in exceptional condition.
Leather Harley-Davidson seats have been covered since new. No wear, just some mild creasing.
The exterior paint is rich black and gray silver metallic.
The truck is accident-free, dent-free, with some minor surface scratches and scuffs, and lots of small stone chips on the front bumper.
I added photos to show the one body scratch, and scratches and chips on the front bumper, many of which can be made invisible by using a black wax (which is currently 2500 miles away).
This truck came with every possible option for a Super Duty truck beyond the Harley-Davidson trim at $4,345:
• Leather Harley-Davidson heated seats
• Power Slide Moonroof
• Power Slide Rear Window
• Electronic 4x4 Shift On The Fly
• Adjustable Pedals
• Premium Sound with 6x CD
• Reverse Vehicle Aid Sensor
• Engine Block Heater
• Skid Plates
• Stabilizer Package
• Towing Package – capacity is 12,500 lbs.
Plus many performance upgrades:
• Bully Dog Rapid Flow permanent (washable) cold air intake
• Borla stainless steel 4” exhaust from turbo back
• Bilstein 5100 Heavy Duty shocks
• Moog (greaseable) upper and lower ball joints, front axle vacuum hub seals, inner shaft dust seals
• Leer extra-heavy duty (aluminum-reinforced fiberglass) bed cover
• EDGE Platinum “Juice with Attitude” with variable mileage, power and torque settings
(I only use the programmable EDGE system to monitor vital engine data — throttle percentage, turbo boost level, RPMs, engine coolant temperature, transmission fluid temperature, engine oil temperature, exhaust temperature, …)
This truck has AVERAGED 18 mpg over the last 70,000 miles. This is partly due to the performance upgrades (cold-air intake and 4” stainless exhaust).
The digital readout currently lists the mileage at 17.9 mpg, but the actual math over the last 60,000 miles puts the average at 18.46 mpg.
I have hauled a trailer periodically but never even half of its towing capacity. The 104,000 miles are almost all highway miles (95%) from driving from Savannah, GA to Southwest Montana twice a year.
I pride myself on keeping my vehicles clean, and waxed by hand twice a year. Even the door jambs are waxed. This pays off in the long run.
There are mixed reviews about using engine performance enhancers like the EDGE Platinum system. I wanted to have the engine information at my fingertips, so I installed the unit about 9 years ago. My brother is an engineer for Ford (who actually worked on the development of this truck) and I have followed his advice not to change the factory settings with the EDGE. Since it performs very well for acceleration, power, and mileage, I just leave the custom settings alone. You can remove it in 45 seconds. The manual is included if you want to experiment.
I have bought and sold many vehicles on eBay with a perfect 100% positive rating.
Some good questions were raised. Here are the answers.
Q: Can you send me some pictures from underneath to see any rust?
A: There is mild surface rust patina on the unpainted surfaces, especially in the front of the chassis. No deterioration nor thick "build up" of rust exists anywhere that would begin to challenge the structural integrity at all. The back of the truck has virtually no rust (which is surprising because the frame is unpainted.
Q: How does the bed look? Is there a bedliner?
A: There is an "under-the-rail bedliner" installed. If I recall, there were some minor scuffs and scratches to the gloss black paint, but no dents.
Q: Any holes in carpet?
A: The carpet has been covered since new. It looks rich black and fantastic.
Q: Are there stone chips on the hood?
A: There are many stone chips, especially in the front of the hood. Maybe 40?
They are "pin-head size" and almost disappear with a black-colored wax.
