1932 Ford Woody Wagon Stock Original Description

Submitted for your consideration is this rare 2-owner SURVIVOR 1932 Ford B-body Woody Wagon originating out of Duluth Minnesota; Now residing in Franklin, TN with it's 80 year old owner. This is a true rust-free example that is in exemplary condition for its age; Among the best known. These examples rarely arise for sale outside of big-block auctions so here's an opportunity for the true collector to get this super fine example.

Vehicle is all original and unaltered except for Coker issued Firestone Bias-ply tires replaced out of caution for safety/reliability, new exhaust and radiator hose(s). It retains its original Goodyear spare tire and spare wheel with metal valve stem, radiator cap and fuel cap.

The original flip-up canvas windows are intact (up against roof in photos). The only missing item is the 3rd-row bench seat which can easily be reproduced but for its vintage.

At a Dearborn, Michigan meet the owner was advised this is the lowest mileage most original 32 Woody in the country and was offered $100k for it then and declined as I was still enjoying this all original car.

STD OPTIONS:

Flip-out Windshield

Leather Seats

Canvas flip-down Windows

Windshield wiper (currently in/op)

EXTERIOR:

Vehicle is the coveted "Woody" 4 dr that is straight, exhibiting only mild wear evident to it's original exterior surfaces. Underside is clean/dry as expected for a well-cared for car historically exhibiting no rust.

Only the Vehicle front clip was painted 2-stage base/clear years ago and has withstood the test of time in a climate-controlled garage. For the long period since that period, the

appearance hints at all original survivor quality.

Body panel alignment is good exhibiting no crash history. The patina evident to

the exterior wood is amazing considering its age. Wood is solid, with good color and minimal wear consistent with survivor quality. Even the original "Rawlings" name badge properly adorns the bottom right corner of the right front door for its body builder in the day.

Windshield is free of chips etc. and cleans up like "new”.

Left Glass Headlamp Sealed Beam and one Tail Lamp Lens is cracked but illuminate properly. A new replacement headlight is included, but never installed as this "clear" headlight would not match the aged hue of the other side etc.

INTERIOR:

Interior is 100% all original leather and amazingly intact considering its age.

Frt seat has a minor scratchs evident with routine driving wear but no tear areas.

Interior Wood & Wood slat ceiling are very good/solid. All original wood flooring is intact with no rot evident.

Gauges exhibit slight fading consistent with age but function correctly.

Working odometer confirms 33000 low miles. In 1974 odometer confirmed 30,000 miles at that time to give you a sense of its minimal use

MECHANICAL:

All original low mileage 4 cylinder engine starts easily and runs/sounds as it should. A slight oil leak is evident at the left side oil pan gasket. This is an inexpensive easy fix that this elderly owner hasn't seen fit to repair once observed.

Manual Transmission works/shifts fine

Electric starter works as it should.

TEST DRIVE:

Car feels "right”. Feels Tight. No unusual odors or sounds evident and has an expected

"survivor quality" feel and appearance.

On Apr-15-17 at 19:34:32 PDT, seller added the following information:

As you might anticipate there have been numerous calls for this rare example from all over the country seemingly and one foreign interest in which some questions have been asked so I'll convey that here for the sake of clarity:

1: Paint-----------My ad indicated "base/clear", but owner informs me it was done sufficiently long ago that it was either lacquer or enamel NOT modern paint etc. He's 80 and cannot vividly recall. He believes it was done in early 80's as best he can recall.
2: Height: For those with trailers: 6ft 2in-------------If you have a 6ft ceiling, the air can be let out of the tires that should gain about 4 to 6 more inches as needed.
3: Indeed this was listed (past tense) on another website for upwards of $80k-------------The mostly firm ask on this is $73k and is believed to be v. competitively priced.
As this is listed on other sites this may be sold elsewhere and this auction will be ended. The offline calls/offers are very close to the reserve, but is not sold as of this writing.Don't let this one get away. It's THAT nice.
To find something this complete, original is incredibly rare. While this runs/drives perfectly fine, this truly is a museum quality vehicle. Restored examples can't hold a torchto the beauty and originality of this car.I trust you'll be guided accordingly.
