1930 Ford Model A Deluxe 5 Window Coupe Great Driver
1930 Ford Model A Description
I am the third owner of this great 1930 Model A Deluxe Coupe. The second owner did a frame of restoration in the early 1970's. No bondo or fiberglass on this as it was a rust free cab out of Virginia. It has a Baron Le Bonney Interior in 95% excellent condition. When I bought it, the one thing that hadn't been done was an engine rebuild so I had a top of the line rebuilt engine by Hart Auto Parts installed which is a Premium Engine with A Counter Weighted Crank Balance Assembly. I wanted a Dependable Driver not a wimpy show car. I have owned this car since 2001. Engine Ordered from Hart's November 2011 for $3325. I have replaced everything under the hood in addition to the engine since owning this car to include new starter, modern Radiator, new modern fan, distributor, muffler, intake and exhaust manifolds, rebuilt carburetor, new rebuilt steering box and assembly, new steering column and lots of other things I can't even remember. I don't want to fire out what I have spent in replacement parts, sometimes you get into something andjust fix or replace things as an extension of the hobby but there is no doubt in my mind Ihave spent way more on this A then mystarting bid.All parts for this Model A were bought by me from well know Model A Parts supplier Brattons! Paint is looking tired so it could stand a new paint job but I will leave that to the new owner. It looks good from a distance, just has some misc.cracking, fading, paint loss and minor rust spots where paint has fallen off along top of engine swivel lids.I have only put 580 miles on this new engine so it is hardly broken in. Please note vehicle VIN is A382401. Because this is a completely rebuilt as new engine from Hart's with counter weighted Crank Balance Assembly, there is no VIN stamped in engine block. This can be added but not by me. I always wanted to drive it more but never found the time. Front fenders are original never repainted so they have some paint loss and spidering. Has new rubber floor mat. I am taking it to my Model A Club meet this weekend where the Club inspects everyone Model A. Starts up on first crank almost every time. Ijust went out to my garage as I haven't started this Model A in at least 4 weeks, I added gasoline and it started first crank with one pull on choke rod and it runs nice and quite.I hate to sell it but times and interests change. If you are looking for a real driver or fora template for a Hot Rod, this could have your name all over it. I reserve the right to end auction early as I have it for sale locally. I can assist with helping load it up for shipping. Thank you for looking. My preference for payment is cash, postal money orders or certified check ahead of pick up so I can deposit it with my Bank and make sure it isn't a scam check.
