1964 Ford F-100 Description

FUNThe one word I would use to describe this truck. This is not a show truck. It is car cruise material tho. It has some nicks, scuffing and scratches on it. And the body work is not perfect by any means. I think its called "patina". The prior owner ran a silicon bead around the grill and around the utility box. Not sure what thats about, but I never messed with it. It has rust in spots. The worst place I can see is the right lower cab near bottom of door. The engine compartment and engine is solid. It has not been hacked up with holes and spliced wires. Its clean and simple. The hole where there should be an antenna has been filled and the radio does not work. I have owned this truck for about two years. I keep it garaged and drive it on nice days to the store, work and any other place that I feel like going "old school".The doors clank when you shut them. The 6-cylinder and the three speed tranny have that familiar whine as your driving along.
Here is what I think this truck has going for it. Its all there. I have a stack of paper work from a prior owner whobasically did a very thorough restore around 2000. This includes engine work, tranny work, front end work, radiator, misc this's and thats. I have receipts for parts pieces and work done. I have receipts for nut and bolts, window tint, seals, steering, clutch, paint, oil tubes, andso much more.I have a receipt showing rebuild of engine a 223 6 cylinder in Sept of 2000. I have a receipt showing speedometer turned back. It currently shows 4638 miles. Iwouldn't besurprised if this is the amount of miles put on truck since around 2000. I could very well be wrong, but when you look and feel how solid this truck is for its age I think themileage may be correct on restore.. This truck starts up and drives whether I let it sit for a week or sit for a month. I pull the choke and it fires up.Its got a couple of rattles, but drives pretty darn straight down the road. And I can hit the brakes hard and itdoesn't pull. All the controls work smooth and easyItruly enjoy driving this truck. It gets lots of looks and compliments from those that can appreciate what it is. Like I said. If I could pick one word. That word is "FUN".I have tried to explain all details of this truck. Obviously my interpretation and yours could be completely different. Again.... its not a show truck and its not a new truck. Its over 50 years old. Please get a hold of me with any questions.
