1969 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon (barn find)
1969 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon (Barn Find) Description
1969 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon, (126, K original miles) Very rare classic car in excellent original restored condition. This car was originally produced by Ford Motor Company exclusively for United States Forest Service use. However it was later stored in a barn for many years (decades). I purchases this car a number of years ago and restored it back to its original condition ( with the exception of the lime green forest service paint). There is no paint code for this car since lime green was never a factory Ford color. The body is straight and solid with no rust or bondo. It has been repainted charcoal grey with silver metallic. Original 250 Inline 6 cylinder engine rebuilt with hardened seats and valves for unleaded gas. Excellent fuel mileage up to 25 mpg with plenty of power. Three on the tree standard transmission with new clutch. Heavy duty posi-traction rear end. New brakes, tires, battery, fuel pump, water pump, radiator, etc. Rebuilt carburetor with manual choke. Aftermarket fuel gauge and sender. Engine compartment and wheel wells have been restored and painted. Solid undercarriage with only minor surface rust. Dual action tailgate opens from the side or down. Interior is in excellent condition. Back seat folds down. Great camping rig. Runs and drives excellent. Ready to drive anywhere.
