Ford F150 Lariat pick-up 302 fuel inj 25K mi on rebuilt eng.
1986 Ford F-150 lariat Description
My spare truck for the last 20 years, I hate to let it go its a nice driving truck and handles a load. The good. Has P/S, P/B, Cruse Control, AC, P/Windows. The engine was rebuilt at 96k miles it was bored .030 over crank undersized to .010/.010 (as I recall). The standard kit parts installed like cam, timing gears and chain, oil pump etc. At the same time the transmission was rebuilt only because it was already out. New seals, clutches etc. The bad. Since I don't use it enough it has developed a cold miss. When it warms up it runs nicely. The Y-pipe needs replacement (exhaust). The gas is old and starting to turn. I think these two things are contributing to the cold miss. In addition the driver side P/window won't go down, passenger side is slow. I recently changed the plug wires, power brake booster, rear brakes. The gas gage doesn't work. It has two gas tanks, but rear tank long ago gave up. The tires are good at least 50% or better. The radio is a ford radio but not correct to the truck. The paint ready for replacement. The hood is the worst condition. The roof has a dent at the leading edge. The pickup bed has been covered by a 1/2 in thick rubber mat as long as I've had it andlonger. The bed is in excellent shape. There is an oil can type dent in the driver side of the pickup bed side (outside). It has an add on frame hitch for towing. There are NO rust through spots, the cab corners are solid, even the hood is solid, just lacking enough paint. Glass is all good, has sliding rear window but it doesn't lock. This truck is a tinkerers toy. You are going to have to invest time and money to bring it back. I have some spare parts that go with it like the lariat badges, a new distributor and other small parts. If your local you can probably drive it home without any problem after it warms up. The title is clean and transferable without any issue. The mileage I believe to accurate at about 120k miles. If your local and want a look see before bidding email me. I won't end the auction early, I won't take less. It is a used truck, sold as is, I've been as accurate as possible with the description. There could be other issues I'm not aware of lingering there. It is located about 40mi south east of Charlotte NC.Deposit of 300.00 if not picked up within 3 days. CASH on delivery.
Note after some questions, I wasn't as clear as I should have been, it does have AC but it only short cycles the compressor. Meaning it needs a charge at the very least. It does have some residual pressure, and its using R420 a direct no conversion substitute for R12. Also the radiator was replaced a few years back so the cooling system is in very good condition.
