This great looking C.O.E. (F-600) was built by a local well known rod builder, master fabricator and painter. Starting with a 1948 Ford C.O.E. cab, he mated it to a 1972 Chevy short box pickup chassis powered by a 305 cu. in. Chevy engine, 700 R-4 automatic overdrive transmission, with power steering, power brakes and dual exhaust. He then sectioned the bumpers and added dual polishedaluminum Budweiser beer kegs as gas tanks, with a power switchover between tanks.
He then built the stake body with new wood and polished aluminum separators. A trailer hitch was added along with new marker lights. The interior was completely re-done with Jeep seats, Dolphin gauges and a complete Quick Wire harness. The beautiful turquoise paint work was a personal mix by the owner and is absolutely striking!
This beautiful truck was built, not as a show truck, but as a fun driver for the owner but would make a great parade vehicle, farm market truck, delivery vehicle or just a cool cruiser.
