1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Vibrant Red Grey Leather #3971 Sunroof
1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Description
Up for auction is my 1993 Cobra. I have had it for a little over a year and in that time I have gone through the car front to back. It has many new parts and is essentially a new car mechanically. I have stayed true to what Ford produced with subtle upgrades that wont hurt the value. It had the chrome wheels when I bought it so I sourced another set of silver wheels which I had refinished but havent gotten around to installing but I am including them in the sale of the vehicle. I have rewired the fog lights to function independently of the headlights with their own relay to alleviate the problems with the mulit function switch. The headlights are all new (6 pieces) and have an HID conversion so they are very bright. The tires are in great shape with roughly 5000 miles on them. The transmission was disassembled and rebuilt with new blocking rings and a Pro 5.0 shifter was installed with the stock handle and knob, the aluminum driveshaft was professionally balanced with new u-joints installed. It has a new King Cobra Clutch and Ford Racing Billet Flywheel. The motor was disassembled, honed and new rings installed. All clearances were checked and a new oil pump and HD shaft installed. I substituted an E303 cam for the Cobra cam but retained the factory 1.7 Crane roller rockers. The heads were checked and cleaned, valve springs tested and then reinstalled. The Cobra intake is as cast, upper and lower there is no portwork done. It has a new water pump, 3G alternator conversion, new motor mounts, trans mount, battery, all hoses and belt, overflow, fan and fan clutch, Motorsport Stainless headers into a MAC 2 cat 2.5" H-pipe with Flowmasters and stainless 2.5" tailpipes. The car had been repainted when I got it due to a fender bender. The only panels replaced are the pass fender and the nose. They are original Ford parts and could be the originals but do not have the VIN tags. Everything else has the VIN tag including the hood. The interior is very clean, the carpet is nice, the driver seat back has some signs of age but there are no rips anywhere. The headliner was replaced and I added a cupholder in place of the ashtray. The radio is aftermarket and there is an amp on the back of the back seat. As for suspension, it rides on an Eibach Pro Kit which is progressive and it is dampened by Bilstein HD shocks and struts. The front sway bar is mounted with polyurethane bushings and end links and it has new ball joints and tierod ends and a rag joint eliminator steering shaft. The rear is attached with a set of Factory Five Racing control arms. Brakes are standard Cobra 4 wheel disks and both front and rear are cross drilled and the calipers are painted red. No stone was left unturned when I went through this car, I wanted it to be reliable and troublefree. I have the Cobra brochure, all receipts, SVT certificate, and carfax report. There are no accidents reported on the carfax but the mileage has been reported in error and later corrected although it stays on the report. This car has a million mile speedometer so it hasnt rolled over and since I went through all the mechanicals the mileage is only indicative of the body and interior. The paint is very nice, only one chip on the passenger fender about 1/8". There is no rust to speak of, all door jambs and hood and trunk jambs are clean. All smog equipment has been removed for a cleaner look. Take a look at the pics, the car is as nice in person as in the pics. These are an upcoming collectible so it should not lose value if kept in its current condition. The 93 Cobra is in Car & Drivers top 10 collectibles and Fox Mustangs are having a resurgence in popularity. Here is your chance to own a classic and one of the best Fox Mustangs that Ford produced.
