1967 Ford Fairlane GT-A Description
1967 Ford Fairlane GT-A Convertible.
Relisted. It developed a power steering leak, I bought the repair kit but haven't had time to fix it.
I don't have the time, money, or space to finish this like I want. I bought it because I had one when I was 16. This is a driver, it has some dents, scratches, and 2 or 3 spots of bubbling paint that I believe are old rust repairs. I found one rust spot that went through behind the right wheel and one inside the left wheel well when I pulled her out this Spring (See pic). Someone needs to restore this car, I can't.
I do not have the original hood. There is a 66 GT GT-A hood installed.
S Code 390 - Restored mid-80's - 89300 miles
Runs well, fresh rebuild motor and trans.
Late 60's or early 70's 390 currently in the car, bored 040 over, new hypereutectic pistons, strong Erson cam, plus the following.
- Edelbrock performer intake
- Doug's Headers
- New Holley HP 750 Double Pumper
- Jegs cross over pipe with cutouts & Flowmaster 40 series.
- Fresh valve job, hardened seats
- New brakes, calipers, master cylinder, power boost
- Pretty complete car, even the interior lights work.
- Aluminum radiator and electric fans.
- 3.89 gears with a mini spool
- Original GT heads
I have a B&M shift kit but have not installed it yet.
I have the original motor for the car. It is disassembled. The block cracked at one of the freeze plugs. I had it welded. The machine work was done on it but it will need to be re-honed. It sat in a storage unit over the winter.
1 of 2117 produced (I know there can't be more than 2116 left because I totaled one in 1988)
390 S code -- C6 -- 9" - VIN 7H43S113556
Needs - new convertible top (stertched too tight and has a small cut above the driver's head). I would paint the car. The interior needs seat covers and springs. I have a rear seat cover that is not installed. Needs a wiper motor, weather stripping and TLC to fix some of the 80's resto that is less than professional. The chrome needs TLC. It is a fun driver today and looks good at 20 feet and driving down the road, this isn't a show car. Very reliable and fun. The motor has about 1500 miles on it. It runs like a bat out of hell.
It has newer floors installed, I did not do it. The job is sturdy but not professional.
