1995 FORD BRONCO XLT 4X4 Collector Quality
1995 Ford Bronco XLT Description
You are looking at what could possibly be the nicest Bronco you will find for sale anywhere! Truly a beautiful truck that you will be proud to show off. I took it to a small local car show once and parked it off to the side just to spectate and I had people walking over to check it out and ask me about it. I've had people stop me at the gas station and the store asking me about it and asking if I would sell it. Here's the story on this truck...
I purchased this Bronco about a year and a half ago from a dealer in NJ who lied about just about every aspect of this thing. There was only one owner before me, and I have their name and address for the new owner. My wife told me she wanted another Bronco to pull her horse trailer with, so I told her we were going to find the NICEST Bronco on the planet because I didn't have time to fix one up for her. I have an old street rod and that thing sucks up every spare minute i have, believe me. So after much waiting and searching, I found this Bronco in NJ with 43,000 miles on it.
When I got it home, it wouldn't even start to get it off of the trailer. The battery post was broken off inside the battery. So, it has a new battery. Then, it ran like CRAP, the four wheel drive didn't work, the A/C didn't work, and a few smaller issues. Upon trying to give it a tune up, I found that it still had the original spark plugs in it. Well, naturally, one broke off in the head while I was trying to change them, so I had to replace a cylinder head. While I was at it, I replaced all of the injectors, the water pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, the exhaust system from the manifolds back, including the cat, and I also added a nice set of Ford Racing valve covers.
I had the A/C charged up and its worked great since then. Fortunately that was all it needed.
The front differential had the vent tube pointing down instead of up like it is supposed to be, so water got in there and ruined all of the bearings. I had BOTH differentials totally rebuilt with all new Timken bearings, seals, spider gears, etc. I also changed the gears from 3:55's to 3:73's. I also had the Ford mechanic replace every single U-Joint on this thing while he had it apart. I think there are something like 9 or 10 u-joints on these things! Now the four wheel drive works like a charm!
I changed out the front brake pads because the ones that were on it were turning the front wheel black in 10 miles of driving. That doesn't happen now. I also have a new set of rear brake shoes that I purchased but didn't need, (Just trying to get free shipping from Summit Racing) so I will throw those in.
I also have a brand new, in the box, manual Warn Deluxe front hub kit to change the hubs from automatic to manual. This includes the adapter kit you need for this truck also. I prefer manual locking hubs, but since these worked perfectly, I didn't have the heart to install them and take away from the original look. These will be included with the truck.
I wasn't sure about the paint being original because it was just too perfect. So, I took it to my body guy and he looked it over very closely. He agreed that it looked awfully good for a Ford that was painted in 1995 but he could find NO evidence that it had been painted. He said that if somebody DID paint it, they did one hell of a job. (This coming from a body shop owner) There are several little hair line cracks in the paint on the hood, but you really have to look to see them. My body guy offered to repaint the hood for $200 but I couldn't bear to mess up original paint for some tiny little cracks you can barely see.
There is one little tear in the drivers seat about an inch long. I'm sure it could be repaired, but as we always cover the seats on anything we buy, we didn't worry about it. These seat covers are made by Coverking, they are custom made for the Bronco, and they were something like $700 for front and rear. Very nice covers.
There is some rust underneath the truck, but its mainly confined to the cross members. The dealer in NJ had the frame cleaned and painted, so I don't see any rust on the frame, and the underside of the body has ZERO rust. While I had the transfer case skid plate off so the guy could rebuild the driveshafts, I sand blasted the skid plate and painted it with black automotive paint. It looks nice. If I were keeping the Bronco, when I had time I would take off the transmission cross member and do the same. There doesn't seem to be ANY structural rust, it's pretty much cosmetic and you have to climb underneath the truck to see it.
There is supposed to be a tube that runs from the back of the heads to the cat, and I neglected to install that when I replaced the cat.
I also added brand new Michelin tires when I bought the truck, so they have maybe 5,000 miles on them.
Every single thing on this truck works as it should. It fires right up, settles into a fast idle for a couple of minutes and then lowers itself. All windows work, mirrors work, back window rolls up and down with the switch or the key, etc. etc. This truck purrs like a kitten and looks great driving down the road. This is NOT the Bronco for you if you don't want attention.
The reason we're selling is this... The wife and I now get into arguments every time she wants to drive it because I don't want her to put any miles on it, get it dirty, drive it in the rain, etc. etc. And I certainly don't want her hooking a horse trailer to it! It does have the trailer package but it still doesn't have a hitch installed, so it's never pulled any kind of trailer.
I look at every Bronco that gets listed on eBay. I look every day. I have yet to see one as beautiful as this one. It literally looks like a brand new Bronco. Of course, it IS twenty two years old, and it DOES have 50,000 miles on it, so it's not absolutely flawless, but it's close.
Sorry to have such a long description, but I want to be totally honest and cover everything I can remember. I don't want to lie about everything like the schmuck who sold it to me. I can't do that to people. Please look closely at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. I'm not trying to hide anything. I encourage you to actually look at the truck before you bid. You won't be disappointed!
With all that being said, let me now add the small print. If it sells, a $500 deposit is due via Paypal within 48 hours of the auction ending. There is NO warranty on this Bronco. ALL funds must clear my bank before the Bronco leaves my garage. If you pay with anything other than cash, this could take up to two weeks. If you are picking the truck up in person, bring cash. Cashiers checks can be fakes and I refuse to be one of those people who loses their vehicle AND their money. Also, I don't need any help selling my vehicle, and please don't bother me with your ignorant scams I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. Lowball offers will be ignored, and no, I won't take your check from Timbucktoo for twenty thousand dollars over the sale price and send you back the rest. I prefer to keep the reserve to myself, so just bid what you are willing to pay and hope for the best. I don't HAVE to sell this thing, and it does look nice sitting in the garage next to my old Mopar, so if it doesn't sell I will just hide the keys from my wife and let is sit. It's only going to increase in value.
Thanks for looking and reading, I hope I've covered everything, and if not feel free to contact me. My name is Chris and my cell phone number is 336-813-7822. I keep really weird hours at work, so if you call and don't get an answer, please leave me a message. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Oh... Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I will help in any way I can, and I can deliver it in my enclosed trailer within a reasonable distance from Winston-Salem, NC for a fee. We can discuss the distance and the fee if you're interested.
