2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe 2-Door Description

One of the most recognized names in Racing History... Shelby's GT500 coupe says it all! The 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR carries on the long-running association between the Mustang and Carroll Shelby, the racing legend and automotive designer linked to Ford since the late 1950s and early '60s, when he used Ford engines in his Shelby Cobras. In fact, the 2008 Shelby GT500KR is a throwback to the original 1960s-era GT500, which was one of Shelby's most famous Ford super-cars. Shelby GT500KRcame stock with a 540-horsepower, 5.4 Liter, 32-valve supercharged and inter-cooled V8, which links to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, performance-tuned suspension, and machined wheels.

In keeping with its status as a unique super-car in Ford's stable that's a step above the standard Mustang, the GT500KR comes equipped with a number of unique features, including functional air extractors in its reshaped hood, and unique front and rear fascia treatments that give the car a more hunkered-down, muscular appearance. SELLERS NOTES:

If desired the original drive shaft goes with new buyer, but is VERY heavy. When the upgraded Ford supercharger was added the factory strut tower brace no longer fits. It also goes with the new buyer along with the original supercharger if desired. Original Supercharer also goes with new buyer if desired.

Car also has LoJack installed and new owner must contact LoJack to have the newer ownership information transferred.

Car is registered in the Shelby Registry and new owner MUST have their name transferred to replace mine using the VIN, title and verify they have title or if they ever need parts they can never get any. Shelby will NOT sell KR parts to anyone that isn't verified to own a KR to avoid cloning of a KR.

Although the VINshows GT500 and not GT500KR the selected GT500s that were made into the "KR" King of the Road was sent to the Shelby headquarters in Las Vegas, NV to be born into a "KR."
