2004 Ford Mustang 2dr Coupe Premium Mach 1 Description
This 2004 Mach 1 Mustang is a Collector's Dream Show Car.The history and story of how pampered and sheltered this car has been only adds to the car's value.
I am the second-owner, but this car is in one-owner, concourse condition. The original owner special ordered and purchased it new, with no dealer prep, and I still have all the stickers and plastic he removed from the car after it was delivered to his house. '03/'04 Mach I's are currently the most under-rated and under-valued Mustangs currently available, that all came off the assembly line as Instant collector muscle cars. The collector car market hasn't quite caught on to this car yet... But there is no doubt that it was a classic from day one.

The original owner special ordered this Mach 1 from Ashley Ford in New Bedford, MA. He specifically wanted a few things: 1) a Dark Shadow Grey Mach I, 2) 5 speed transmission, and 3) knowing it was being built in Dearborn, MI, he specifically wanted to avoid the car coming in contact with snow or salt. At the dealership, they put the order through knowing it would be produced within a 6 week range in early June 2004, with a scheduled delivery in August 2004, which is when it arrived. And knowing the salesman well, he gave specific instructions that no dealer prep be performed. This means the plastic stayed on the seats, the floor mats stayed in the trunk, and all white plastic stayed on the bumpers and assembly line stickers remained on the windows. He wanted to receive the car exactly how it rolled of the assembly line and prep it himself, which he did.
Most telling about the condition of this Mach is how the original owner winterized the car each year. He had the most specific set of steps I've ever heard of for a car. He actually had the steps written out for me when I first met him to see the car. This was his process:
On the day the car was getting put away for the winter, he would always perform an oil changeFull synthetic oil, with a MotorCraft FL820S oil filter was used every timeEvery year the car had zero-mile, fresh oil when it was put away for the winter so that there was no gas or other contaminantsin the oil during storageNext, he would fill it up full with premium gas, adding the correct amount of Stabil fuel stabilizer in the tank at the gas station so that there was still time for the gas to shake around and get to the injectorsOnce back to the garage, he would then fully top it off with a gas can so that there was no room for air in the gas tankNext, he would remove the battery terminal cables, and use battery cleaner to fully clean the terminalsNext, he would connect the battery tender charger that would be left on through the entire storage periodFinally he would cover the car and walk awayNot one of these steps was ever missed or deviated from during a single winter, and after meeting this guy and inspecting the car... I knew it was true.He was so meticulous about how he maintained this Mach, that I honestly believe he would not have sold me the car if he didn't believe I was going to follow the same process every year. This is the exact process I have followed since I got the car. The car is currently still in my garage from the winter and hasn't been driven this season yet. I put it away for the winter in December 2016, with the above process followed. It currently has 5 miles on its Mobile 1 Full Syntheticoil, which means the car is perfectly ready to drive away and will not need an oil change until the end of the driving season this year. The tires on the car are also brand new and have less than 200 miles on them.
A few things go absolutelywithout saying: this car is accident free, has always been a non-smoker, non-fast-food-eating car, and has never seen snow or salt a day in it's life. Everything works as the day it was new - Ice cold a/c, no service lights, this car could drive to California and back with the a/c and radio on the whole trip. My experiences have taught me that honestly 8 or 9 times out of 10 when you arrive to see a car that it's condition is not going to be as nice as either described or pictured. At least in my experiences they never have been. This car, however, is an exception to that rule. There are no pictures that can describe the unbelievable condition of the body, interior, and drivetrainof this car. In my opinion, this Mach I is a one-of-one still available on the market today. This Mach I is for sale at No Reserve.100% Positive Feedback eBay Seller Since 2004!
My personal collector car since 2015 - Not selling for anyone else. And I don't need help selling it.
