Now available in our Philly location is a 1966 Mustang. This little Pony is Green with a Black interior. Look under the hood and you find the 289 V8. Ford chose this engine to be the first V8 in their new popular little Pony Car and the Mustang was on its way to being a performance icon. This mustang has the C-4 automatic transmission and a 3:55 posi rear as well. Factory bucket seats and the shifter on the floor was what everyone wanted in their cars and Ford delivered the goods with their new little “Pony Car”. They were on to something big and it would be one more year 1967, before GM could answer with the Camaro. Turn the key and the small block comes to life. The exhaust has a nice throaty sound but is not overwhelming. The Mustang accelerates smoothly and is easy to drive. It would be a great car for someone who is interested in the hobby and would like a car to get started with at an entry level price.
