This one-owner 2014 Ford Police Interceptor was purchased in 2014 and was used as a fully marked police car. This vehicle was manufactured by Ford specifically for law enforcement. It is based on the Ford Taurus platform. It was assigned to be used by our Patrol Unit, and has 62,658 miles. The engine hours on the vehicle are6115 and the idle hours are 4033 . The Bartlett Police Department adheres to a strict maintenance program, which includes oil changes every 5,000 miles and compliance with all manufacturer maintenance at suggested intervals. The new owner can be provided with the vehicle's service and maintenance history. This vehicle up for auction is in good condition and runs very well. It is an all-wheel drive vehicle. Because it was built as a patrol car it has some inherent features. Such as the side front fenders had factory installed emergency lights, and when removed left holes in the moldings (see photo). These holes can be eliminated by the purchase of regular Taurus moldings from a Ford dealer. The dash has a cut-out for the mounting of the radar unit (see photo). The rear emergency lights have been removed from their interior housings at the top of the rear window. The center console was omitted to make room for police equipment. Even though it’s a police vehicle, it is equipped with some nice features. Such as all-wheel drive, multiple 12 volt power outlets, cruise control, steering wheel controls, traction control, adjustable brake and gas pedals, power driver’s seat, tilt steering wheel, message center, outside temperature display, remote trunk release, back-up assist, and a multi-band (AM, FM,) stereo cd radio. The vehicle up for auction has been inspected. The inspection showed the vehicle to be mechanically sound with no identifiabledefects. This vehicle has been detailed and all police equipment has been removed. All external mounting holes were plugged with rubber plugs and sealed except where the overhead lights were secured on the roof panels (see photos). There are holes on the roof trim from the overhead light mounts (see photo). All electronic components were returned to their original configuration. The vehicle still has an ignition over-ride switch, which allows the vehicle's key to be removed from the ignition while the engine is left running (see photo). All police markings were professionally removed and the paint still maintains a very nice shine. There is a small dent on the passenger door (see photo). There is a very small scratch on the driver's side rear quarter panel. This vehicle has been involved in one reported crash. This vehicle has little to no rust. This vehicle does not have a spare tire. The interior is in fair condition. The driver's seat has a hole on the seat near safety belt connection and damage on the rear of the seat. There is rubber flooring instead of carpeting inside the vehicle. There is a tear in the rubber flooring near the driver's seat. The original rear seat was removed and replaced with a solid plastic seat. The never used rear vinyl seat was put back in but not secured. The interior pillar posts have a number of holes caused by the mounting of the rear seat barrier. Since this vehicle was a former police squad car the rear doors cannot be opened from the inside. The buyer must go to a Ford dealer to correct this problem. We have attempted to photograph most of the flaws and encourage you to stop by to view or to test drive the vehicle. The vehicle title will be provided to the new owner. If vehicle is to be driven from seller’s location, Illinois law requires the new owner to have current registration and insurance on the vehicle. A temporary registration permit can be obtained from any Illinois Secretary of State office. This vehicle is sold "as-is" and there is no warranty.
