1954 Ford F-100 Custom Description

Great looking Custom 1954 Ford F-100 short bed step-side. This truck was purchased from a fellow that had put almost $30K into it and ran out of time, money and enthusiasm. An old time professional hot rod builder had built it to the point where you see it when the project stopped.
It has been stripped to bare metal, then all surfaced metal-prepped, epoxy primered, block sanded to near perfection and painted white. The top has been chopped 3 inches and the windshield laid back 2 inches. new custom windshield and rear glass installed. It has power windows installed and electric door openers. There is a just in case cable located at each door bottom. New door seals installed. New Newport 3 speed wiper motor kit. Two bucket seats.
The entire bed and tailgate are new steel. The oak bed is new as well as the polished stainless bed strips and bolts. The tailgate is also new and painted white. It is in the cab laying across the seats. The rear fenders are new steel replacements. The running boards and new steel replacements also. Custom flip forward hood with support bar installed.
The firewall has been slightly recessed and smoothed. There is a new power booster and master cylinder installed. The frame has new Mustang II IFS and with disc brakes and power rack and pinion steering. Tilt column installed loosely. There is a stock speedometer and gaugeassembly, however the plan was to use a modern set up.
There is no gas tank. The gas filler tube was removed and smoothed. The intention was to install a tank under the bed with the filler in the rear of the bed. There is a stock non painted grill and front bumper included.
Rear leaf springs and Ford 8 inch rear with 3;55 gears. Rear drum brakes. The wheels and tires are not much to write home about but it makes it an easy roller. Motor and transmission mounts are installed with the intention of putting in a 429/460 Ford Big Block.
Install your choice of engine, wiring and do the interior and you will have a killer, custom F-100. Yes clear title and it rolls easily.
