1955 Ford Thunderbird 496 Stroker Hot Rod Gasser. You are bidding on a true american 2 seater Hot Rod. Built originally in 1969 by a well known speed shop just outside NYC. First off this car is a true hot Rod. The engine is a 496 cu- inch big block Chevrolet backed by a built 700R4 with a 3,000 RPM lock-up converter. The rear is a Ford 9" posi with a locker, and 3.90 gears. The car has disc brakes upfront drums in the rear. The front rims are 15" X 4" team 3 the rear rims are 15" X 8.5" american racing with drag radial. The rear wheel wells are flared and gives it a unique look. The car has line lock, MSD ignition, electric fan and trans cooler. It has new fuel pump, fuel lines, aluminum heads, 8 quart oil pan. All new electric throughout the car. Everything works, all lights, directionals, gauges, interior with LED lights. The oversized aluminum radiator lets the car run at 180 degrees. Oil pressure is 60 lbs. Their is a small tear on the original seat where you get in over the years. The paint is in great condition with minor spider cracking on the wheel well. Their is ABSOLUTELY no rust underneath or on the car. All glass is in excellent condition. The car was always stored indoors. This is a true iconic Hot Rod.
