In 1966 I was working for a bank making maybe $500 per month so I was not in a position to buy a new Mustang even thoughthey were selling new for $2500 or so.I am now ina position to fulfill that long held desire and search extensively for what I would consider a new 1966 Mustang.I found this car in Texas and the pictures will show that this is as new a 1966 as you can get.The car was completely stripped down to the last nut and bolt and then rebuilt with anything questionable being replaced with new pieces or parts.
I bought the car with the intent that it would be my casual driver. The car certainly fills the bill as a new 1966 Mustang. The problem is that I am not the 20 something that fell in love with these cars.I am old and while I appreciate and love the simplicity of the 6 cyl with standard transmission, at 77 years old I need power brakes and steering and all the muscle assisting features that I have become accustomed to.
Since the car was restored it has a small chip (about 1/8") on the tail light bezel.
There are about 250 pictures trailing the car through its restoration. If you want to see others just send me email. salstacy@yahoo.com I will assist with shipping including overseas.
