2005 F-250 Super Duty 6.0 Diesel 4WD CLEAN and CLEAR Title
2005 Ford F-250 Description
For sale is a 2005 F-250 4WD Super Duty.
I don't normally sell vehicles that aren't in perfect condition and pass "Certified Used" dealership standards, but I'll make an exception so more people can see this truck, as there aren't many on Ebay. As such, you will note that this listing is a bit more stale than usual for a higher value item. Don't worry; if you have questions, I'm happy to answer them, and use that best offer function all you want. I might counter the offer, but it doesn't bother me at all to receive them; even low-balls.
Doesn't mean I'll go for the price, but you aren't going to offend me. I think it's fun, actually. :)
I WILL PROVIDE PICTURES OF REASONABLE REQUEST IF YOU WANT TO SEE SOMETHING SPECIFIC.
In the meantime, I will periodically upload a few more pictures as I take them.
Read the additional checkout instructions.
Problems:
1: Engine doesn't work. We bought a new engine with 6,000 miles on it (from a titled, legal vehicle), had it "bulletproofed" and then it stopped working after a while. Why? I have no idea. It does turn over. Haven't even popped the hood if I'm honest. If you think you know what's wrong and have a 5 minute check I can perform, I'll do it. Anything beyond that and you'll need to have a look yourself. If you want to tow it to a mechanic for an inspection, that's fine.
2: Fairly short crack in windshield.
3: Rear bumper looks to have been tapped, and there is a small dent in the quarter just above it. The tailgate handle is loose, but that might be a quick fix. I just haven't bothered.
4: The front bumper features a snap-on cover coated in bed-liner, and it's begun warp a bit. It seems to want to come off at this point.
5: I'd say the interior will reach a 7 out of 10 with about half an hour of wiping things down and all that. It's quite clean, but there is naturally a bit of wear. I might do it, or might not. Probably not. It shows some wear, but much less than you might expect for the mileage. I'll have a photograph up soon.
6: I'm sure there are little issues here and there. Probably a few more scuffs, scratches, and small dents. Obviously I can't fire it up to test everything. I'm not aware of any electronic malfunctions, but that doesn't mean they aren't present. The vehicle was parked because the engine didn't run; not for any other reason.
7: The wheels look stupid, but they're very popular for some reason.
The Good Stuff:
1: It's in decent enough shape. Only surface rust is present, though some stands out under the cover on the front bumper. I am unaware of any mechanical problems not related to the engine. The paint could probably use a polish, but it's in good shape. You know how people fail to wax large work vehicles.
2: It's fitted with Nitto off-pavement tires that are in serviceable condition. They won't last forever, but they'll get her down the road for a while.
3: I don't know what's wrong with the engine, but it's only got 6,000 miles on it. It might only need a little tinkering. There's bound to be a lot of money in there if you want to sell the block, or enough parts to repair a fault on your own vehicle.
4: Speaking of parts, one could probably do fairly decently selling it off bit by bit, but I'd say the truck is worth fixing if you feel like doing it yourself, or have a shop that's quick and reasonably priced.
5: I will shortly attempt to charge the batteries. If they are in good shape, I'll replace this section to confirm that for you. I know batteries like the back of my hand. I'll let you know precisely what sort of condition they are in.
Again: If you want some detail photographs, I'll provide them. Don't forget that Ebay offers a free Auto Check. It's not super thorough, but you may as well take advantage of a little more information so long as it's free and doesn't require signing up for some account.
PRICE:
It's listed at $5,500 or best offer. Use that best offer function.
SHIPPING:
I'll make it available for pickup, but only if you inspect it yourself, or have it sent to a Ford dealership (only a few miles down a straight road) for an inspection. I don't want to ship a used, non-running vehicle off to someone who's never seen it. I would not recommend a mobile auto inspection service. I've personally watched them just walk around cars before I sell them and bypass every fault on it just so they could get out of there expecting a big tip.
So, it's going to a dealer, or you'll have to look at it. I don't want to see another person get stiffed by those mobile inspectors. They're lazy and dishonest. If there's a big problem here, I want you to know about it, and I want you to hear it from a professional. I am not out to stiff anyone. I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Inspection and towing costs are your responsibility, and I will post those costs here once I verify them at the dealership on Monday.
CONDITION:
