1990 Ford Mustang 7-up Convertible
1990 Ford Mustang LX Description
Up for auction is my 1990 7-up 5.0 convertible automatic.
Paint code: PA
Interior Color code: CZ
VIN Last six:159032
This is a REAL 7-up car
A total of 4103 of a planned 5000 7-Up cars were actually built, 1360 were 5-spd and 2743 were automatic. This is a RARE car.(there were more 93 Cobra produced)
This car has a few after-market parts as follows-
17" ROH wheels
Saleen style wing
Fiberglass 3" cowl hood
Pioneer CD stereo with 6 new speakers
Off-road H-pipe
Flowmaster cat-back exhaust system with stainless tips
Tinted windows
This car also has a brand new top-pump, new carpet, new water pump, complete tune-up, new six-piece OEM headlights and four newer 275/40/17 tires.
It does have 150k miles.
I put tweed GT bucket front seats in because the original white leather front seats needed to be re-covered.The original white leather seats are included.
I have the factory 4-cat H-pipe.
The motor is completely stock, it runs excellent and has strong compression across all cylinders and with the Flowmasters it sounds awsome.
The doors dont sag and the top is tight, no wind noise or rain. There are no sqeaks or rattles.
It doesnt smoke, burn or leak oil.The brakes are good, the suspension is tight.
The honest truth-
The car has been 'keyed' and touched up, it could use better. The drivers side lower rear quarter will need attention, it has some rot. (the patch panel is under $100)It will need an A/C update and recharge. The passenger side window tint should be redone or removed. The cigarette lighter does not work. The trunk is keyed different from the doors. (there is aseparatekey for the trunk)The door panels pocket elastic have stretched. It runs rough for the first 3 or 4 minutes upon initial start up, might be a choke solenoid or something like it.The transmission sometimes slips out of OD while cruising around 40 mph and comes back in around 30 mph. Ive read online about needing the TV cable adjusted (I have never tried). All the other gears are fine. Ive been cruising around in Drive for the last few Summers without any issues.
It is currently registered and inspected and being driven so the mileage will increase some.
I really like this car, its alot of fun to drive. It is a GREAT driver. This was the Family Fun Car since 2011, but nowmy wife and daughters all have long hair and cruising with the top down messes uptheirhair, so they wont cruise with me anymore.I just dont have the time to enjoy it alone. (I would rather get a motorcycle)
There is no warrantyimpliedor expressed.Buyer is responsible for shipping.I will deliver locally, or to a local shipper (50 miles) for free.
To the best of my knowledge the police report for an accident in 11/2006 was when the car was keyed.
