1996 Ford F-150 -- Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the bes...t of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1996 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4. The Ford F-Series is the best selling family of trucks for good reason. They have an excellent reputation for reliability and rugged construction. I would rate the exterior of this F-150 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in Pacific Green over Gray with factory polished alloy wheels. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this F-150, there are a few flaws in the finish on the left side of the bed...nothing bad. All of the the trim and moldings are present and show well. The right outside mirror is broken. All of the glass and lenses are intact. As far as rust goes, there is the usual rust through around the edges of the rear fenders and a little on the cab extensions...but far less than usual for this age and mileage, honestly. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. The bed has a protective liner in it, too. The factory polished alloy wheels really make the truck. She is riding on a matching set of 33x12.50's, which give this truck a very aggressive stance. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this truck came in. Pride in ownership shows throughout this F-150. I would rate the interior of this F-150 to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The power windows and locks work properly. The audio system has been upgraded with an aftermarket in-dash CD player and sounds good. The climate control system is also working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The seats are clean and comfortable. Behind the front seats is ample room for passengers or extra gear. A full set of books and manuals are included, as well as the original window sticker. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this truck. Mechanically, this F-150 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 302ci V8 engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did notice an active transmission fluid leak dropping onto the floor under where the truck is parked (not sure exactly where it's coming from...my guess would be maybe a cooler nice needs replaced) and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are very good for an older truck with oversized tires. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The engine makes good power and feels strong. This truck has an aftermarket exhaust which sounds perfect...throaty and smooth, not obnoxious. This truck also appears to have an aftermarket chip. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with zero issues. She hits the road as straight as an arrow. Out on the highway, she cruises easily. This F-150 has the factory optional 3.55 gears with the towing package, which also help with the larger tires. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The factory auto hubs have been upgraded to manual locking hubs and the 4WD system engages through the factory push button system with no issues. If you're looking for a clean / straight F-150, this one should be at the top of your list. She has a current PA safety and emissions inspection. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
