2001 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible 5spd 72,291 miles
Mineral Grey with Black Ebony Interior
Summary: I purchased this car as a weekend driver about 4 years ago. It was purchased with a rod knock as a project and I wanted to customize the car for total street performance. Due to a house project and two kids getting older, I must part ways with the project. The plan was to eventually add an intercooled supercharger which I began to compile parts for but just never got to that stage. The car has an abundant amount of researched and detailed upgrades including top notch IRS upgrades. Please read below and attached pictures for more reference. I will do my best to clearly detail everything about the car to avoid confusion...
Motor: Forged rebuild 2K miles ago. Block torque plate bored (can't recall but believe -.020) Manley flat top forged pistons, Mod Max H-Beam forged rods, ARP main and rod bolts, new ford racing oil pump, cams degreed with multi-keyway sprockets, cobra steel crank I believe -.010 under (original crank was bad). SCT BAMA Tuner purchased and linked to this car comes with it with 3 separate tunes.
Drivetrain: 4.10 Ford Racing gears (additional 3.73 ford racing gears still in box included), Ford Racing aluminum pumpkin cover with support & bearing cap, Full Tilt Boogie Racing IRS Delrin Bushings w/ grease fittings for upper & lower control arms. Urethane main sub-frame IRS mount bushings, Steeda pinion mount bushing and sway bar bushings. Exedy Mach 350 (or 400 - can't remember) clutch with resurfaced flywheel.
Chassis: Stiffler weld-in full length frame connectors, Billstein shocks front & rear, newer brakes and rotors, stainless brake lines front & back, front A-Arm Urethane bushings, adjustable Grantanilli 4-bolt caster/camber plates, steeda front lower ball joints, BBK bump steer kit, H&R race lower springs, BBK high flow catted X-pipe with original cat back exhaust.
Car Condition & Issues: This is a very low mileage car that I have kept in the garage for the last 4 years but since it is getting pretty old some of the original parts have aged... The convertible top is probably a 7 out of 10 with a small leak in the corner of the back glass window, the original wheels have some corrosion and are probably a 6 out of 10 with some clear coat peeling (I planned to update to GT500 wheels but never got them), the stereo was replaced prior to my purchase and is pretty poor (cheap head unit and old original speakers). I planned to update but did not get to it... There is a slight crease in the passenger door - dent-tech said they could remove... Finally, which is really frustrating, is that there is an oil drip since the rebuild. I have not been able to determine the location but it appears to be front of right head. Either the corner of the valve cover or timing cover right at the head to block edge likely... Very minor drip like one drop after parked from driving the car... Just trying to be completely transparent and most people would not even mention this...
Based on the above, I am offering at $12,500. This is an incredible deal for someone that is looking for this type of setup or parts for a track car... I believe that this price already includes reductions for the condition and issues mentioned above. Title in hand. Cash or bank check only for purchase. Located in Doylestown, PA. Revision: I see that there is an accident reported on front dated 9/7/12? I believe this to be incorrect and does not match the carfax I have. This date is after dealer took car into inventory.
