2002 Ford Explorer Limited Description

Well, I am listing my go to vehicle. I can't stand to it sit any longer. Reliable? Yes, I just drove it to DC with my family from Florida last fall. It was a daily driver until last month. You know the reputation of the explorer. I am a Ford dealer employee of 23 years. Having bought this one from a good customer second hand, I continued her tradition of maintenance. As I have been a technician, service advisor and a manager with the same dealership, I know the importance of preventative maintenance. I couldcontinue to describe the basics of the model, but if you are viewing this, you know all about them. Cut to the chase: I have already changed the control arms, sway bar links, ball joints, back panel below the glass (that always cracked), etc.... I just recently did a wheel bearing, coils, spark plugs and others. The battery is only 6 months old and a top of the line Motorcraft(R) brand. I would be happy to provide other pics if needed. The tires are at approximately 5/32nds but are Michelin LTX m/s2's (the best on the market). I only ever put OEM equipment back on it. Add ons include Yakima cross bars for kayaking, WeatherTech floormats for the front, middle and cargo area. The only know problem is the drivers seat does not adjust up/down, but all other features work including heat. It is comfortable to me at the height it is and moves forward and back so I never considered a repair. The other issue is the washer squirter does not work for the front. Appears to be the pump which is cheap but I am not interested in putting money in a car I am no longer using. It has been an extremely good vehicle for this second owner and the original owner traded it on another explorer and asks about "her" every time she comes in. No reserve and the starting price is cheap for a quality vehicle. Ready to bid? The mileage may be plus or minus a thousand or sosince it is parked at work at the time of listing. If you would like exact, I can provide.
