UP FOR AUCTION IS A1955 FORD CUSTOMLINE 2 DOOR SEDAN . I DO NOT GIVE OUT MY RESERVE PRICES ON ANY AUCTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT ASK . I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR MY FATHER, HE'S READY FOR A NEW TOY SO THIS ONE HAS TO GO ! HE WANTS TO GETINTO A 50'SDROP-TOP WITH SOME UPGRADES, SO THAT WOULD BE THE ONLY POSSIBLE TRADE AT THIS POINT IN TIME. SPRING TIME MEANS CAR CRUISES AND SHOWS AND THIS CAR IS READY FOR BOTH.HE FREQUENTS JUST ABOUT ALL THE LOCAL CAR SHOWS / CRUISES WITH IT AND IT HAS RACKED UP 3 SHELVES FULL OF TROPHY'S IN THE GARAGE. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREA, IT ONLY GOES OUT IN FAIR WEATHER AND DOES NOT SEE SNOW !
THE CAR IS BLACK WITH BLUE HAND-PAINTED PINSTRIPE AND 2 TONE BLUE INTERIOR . ITHAS THE 272 Y-BLOCK ENGINE AND THE FORDOMATIC AUTOMATIC 2 SPEED TRANSMISSION.
HE HAS OWNED THE CAR SINCE JANUARY2012 AND HAS DONE QUITE A BIT OF WORK / IMPROVEMENTS SINCE .HERE ARE SOME OF THEUPGRADES : The car has been converted to 12 volt system.The complete interior was redone including headline, seat, carpe, etc... Both door glass' have been replaced . He installed new floor-pans ( from Mac's ) on both sides up front. He also installed seat-belt's which were alsopurchased from Mac's . There is an aftermarket stereo / CD / MP3 player mounted under the dash as to not alter the dashboard. Several pieces of chrome have been re-chromed. Thedoor & trunklock cylinders have all been rebuilt OR REPLACED. Light sockets for all marker lights have been replaced. Brand new windshield washer pump and fluid bag installed . Windshield wiper motor wasrebuilt and new blades as well. The heater fan / blower motor was also rebuilt recently. The radiator was completely rebuilt and new hoses and belts installed. The fuel tank was flushed while at the radiator shop. The car has custom dual exhaust withmild sounding aftermarket mufflers that give the car a nice mellowrumble. The shocks have been replaced onall four corners with air shocks in the rear .Stabilizer bushings / linkshave also been replaced on the front end. Brake lines and wheel cylinders have all been replace, lots of life left on the shoes. Master cylinder was also rebuilt . The rear main sea, oil pump seal and oil pan gasket were all replaced . The transmission was also rebuilt approx. a year and a half ago. I'm quite sure we are probably forgetting some of the upgrades / repairs that we have done to the car and if we remember anything else I will update the ad as it runs.
