1935 Ford Other Pickups Description

Due to cancer surgery and moving, I have decided to part with my fabulous 1935 Ford V8 Pickup. It is a very authentic restoration, with all original Henry Ford steel, the only thing that is not original is the circa 1950 Mercury Flathead Engine, and a 1939 transmission. I DO have the original engine and transmission to go with it. This was a straight, clean rust free California truck to begin with, which then received a 100% ground-up frame off restoration. Many NOS parts were used, such as hubcaps, all the gauges and speedometer, brake parts, choke and throttle controls, fuel sender, and many other small bits. The truck was completely dismantled, frame sandblasted and painted, many parts were powder coated, The original 1935-36 Columbia 2 speed rear axle was completely rebuilt and “bullet-proofed”. The engine was done before I got the truck by Flathead guru Warren "Hoke" Hokinson, and it runs like one of his race car engines, I have never driven an old Ford that performs like this one. The transmission was done before I got it as well, so I never bothered with rebuilding the original one. The body, bed and fenders were stripped to bare metal and re-painted to the factory Vermilion and Black colors it was when delivered new. You can see by the reflections in the photos the quality of the paint, and how straight the original metal parts are. I did not replace the bed floor or body-fill and paint it, as it was still very decent, so I thought of just coating it with red Rhino lining. You can see in the pictures that the except for the floor, the rest of the inside of the pickup box is just as straight and nicely painted as the outside of the body. The only things yet remaining to be done are the cardboard interior panels, final paint on the tailgate, glove box door, under bed trim strips, and the 2 little panels above the windshield. The Columbia controls need to be hooked up, but I do have all of them. There may be a couple other very minor unfinished things escaping my memory at the moment. I have all the rare little interior metal trim pieces, and many extra parts, including 4 more wide whitewall tires. Mechanically it is all done, it runs, drives, steers and stops great. It is titled on the body number, the frame number says it was built in December of 1934. Reserve is in the mid $20's, and its easily worth double that when finished. One of these just sold at the Barrett Jackson auction in January for $130K !!! You will have to look long and hard to find a nicer 1935 truck than this one, and it sure won’t be cheaper!! .
