1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible 135,570 Miles White 292 Manual
1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Description
1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible donated to Willow Crystal Lake's building fund - a Willow Creek Community Church regional location. All proceeds from the sale of this car will go to the church's new permanent home. Car starts right up, runs and drives good. It has a nice powerful 292 cubic inch V-8 tied to a 3 speed transmission. Engine sounds great, clutch feels good and strong. Brakes are in good shape. Exterior is in decent shape. This car was originally red and was repainted in the 80's. We believe this was a two owner car. Donor stated her father bought the car in the 50's, she drove it to high school in the 60's. Her father gave her the car in 2007 so there was a new title issued. We were told the car has not been driven much in the past 20 years. All the chrome needs to be redone. Please look over the pictures. The paint looks good from 15 feet, but up close you can see some cracking and there are some paint runs. If you are looking for a show car this isn't the car for you. It would need to be restored to bring it up to show quality. What makes this car unique is it was built in October of 1954. It is number 612, signifying one of the first Thunderbirds ever built. Interior is in decent shape for a driver, however showing some wear. Has power seats. Convertible top is in great shape, might have been replaced at one time. I will do my best to answer any questions you have. Car is sold AS-IS. We are open Monday - Friday 7-4. Good luck bidding.
