I never intended on selling this van. The only reason I'm selling is a moved to back to Ohio from Louisiana, and I need 4 wheel drive just to go up my driveway so shes going to be replaced by a 4x4 1-ton pickup, and if I my dream would be to find one this nice with the 7.3. I hate to see it go. IT has been one of the most reliable vehicles Ive owned. All the work I put in was resolving issues it had when I purchased it I basically restored it mechanically. The motor and tranny were solid but all the suspension and cooling/climate control system needed replaced. ALL mechanical restoration completed except for the items listed below for the new owner.
Would be a excellent 4 wheel drive conversion candidate for someone who could do the work there are kits available on the internet. The vans with the conversion in this condition are 15k and up!
Bought from second owner in Gerogia, 2nd owner used the van to haul equipment inside the van long distances. All highway miles. I have owned the van since late 2013. In the last 2 years I have completed all required maintenance and preventative maintenance and have all records that the previous owner gave me and on work I have had preformed. The van runs and looks perfect except for the issues listed below. Remember this is a 2000, its 16 years old. It has to be one of or the cleanest examples of a 1 ton super duty extended van with the Legendary 7.3L International Diesel engine. These things can go a million miles and just be re-sleaved for another 500k miles! Only drove in the salt twice since ive had it and did a immediate under body wash.
Has brand New only 3k miles on them BFG ALL-TERRAINS! 900.00 in tires!
The ONLY mechanical issues are as follows:
The ONLY light that is on is the airbag light(has been on since I bought it)There is a belt noise from one of the pulleys.(we have changed the serp belt several times and the tensioner, to try to eliminate the noise, the belt is not wearing its just a chirping of the belt, the only thing we can come up with is that one of the pulleys must need replaced.(been this way since I bought it) its intermittent when its wet or moist outside it doesnt make the chirpIt does have a complete new motorcraft ac compressor, blower motor and resistor, and fan switch.IDLES BEAUTIFULLY, Does bog down if you jump in and start down the road without warming it up for ample time in cold weather without plugging in, if you give it more pedal it perks right up.I think its a 7.3 thing (Never had the issue till the cold of Ohio. After it warms up it no longer bogs down. (also done this since I bought it) Just want to disclose every issue no matter how minute. Does have engine block heater and if you plug it in below 40 degrees you can take right off. Always starts right up whether you plug it in or not just dont have to let it warm up if you plug it in.Rear ac/heat unit was disconnected by previous owner.side view mirror switch needs replaced to adjust power side windows they did work when I bought it its a cheap part
Cosmetic issues:
slight pops from inside hauling stuff visible on top back sides. something being hauled with a corner popped the inside. did not crack or chip paint on outsidecouple dings in back bumper, visible in pics, also a crease in the back drivers side doorcrease were the drivers door meets the fenderscratch on the passenger fender by the v8 powerstroke sticker3 repaired rock chips in windshield2 small tears 1 in each front seat. could be easily sewed.has black marks in back from stuff moving aroundback doorcards have marks and holes from hauling stuff (this is on the inside of the van) you can see in picssome of the weather stripping on the doors needs some glue and maybe a few clips starting to come loosewill need a radio I removed mine, it was a double din and fit very nice.glue on shift knobsmall dime size hole in removable dash inspection plate can get new one online for 5.00passenger airbag cover starting to come up on top cornerssmall dent on passenger lower rear panel right behind tire, looks like a cart hit it, paint is chipped there
THE GOOD:Runs excellent has plenty of power, doesn't smoke or leak anything.NO RUSTsmall spot just turned slighty brown under wetherstripping on drivers door, this is not rusted yet, the paint just chipped off and its starting to discolorI get about 18mpg on the highway, and it doesn't go down much towing!has brand new class 3 receiver with 7 pin connectorhas 2 leather seats in back that are easily removableall lights, horn, cruise workac and front climate control all new including vacuum lines were all replaced.heat blows hot and works on all functionsac blows cold and works on all functionspower windows workpower door locks workcruise workshas aftermarket keyless entryTransmission shifts firm and has no issuesReplaced Rear end when I got it 3.42 rear gearALL fluids and filters are regularly changed since Ive owned it

I've had a couple questions if I would drive this van long distance. I have drive this van at least 10 times back and forth to louisanna, it's never left me stranded, I've put at least 35,000 miles on it since I've had it without a issue.
