2002 Ford Excursion Limited Description

Up for sale is a 2002 Ford excursion. This excursion has been completely rebuilt from the frame up. Almost every component of this vehicle besides the interior and the rear tub on the body has been replaced or rebuilt. It really is too much to list but I will attempt.
1. Body
I started with a Texas rust free body and chassis. Then I did the 2007 front end conversion consisting of upper and lower bumper assembly with fog lights, new Halo style headlights with LEDs and new billet tube style grill shell. After that a new steel cowl induction hood was installed. All the lower cladding was removed, hand laid pinstripes were done and the body buffed out. New 2008+ Power heated with turn signal tow mirrors were installed. Brand-new Amp power steps were installed to accommodate for the lift. Rear park sensors and backup camera. Also included is a rear electric winch set up with remote control for easier loading of your trailer or boat.
2.Engine
1999 Block crank and forged rods. Block was dipped, magnafluxed, line honed with new plugs.Rods were reconditioned and checked for straightness. Crank was polished and checked for trueness. The whole short block assembly was assembled and balanced with new forged pistonsand rings, low-pressure oil pump, pickup and reconditioned cover, new cam, lifters, timing assembly, and all new felpro gaskets. The heads were dipped and completely remanufactured consisting of new injector cups 3 angle valve job, valves and springs. Then APR head studs were installed. The turbo pedestal was replaced with the upgraded delete pedestal. Factory turbo was replaced with the Garrett 38R roller bearing series and new o-rings. 17° high pressure oil pump was replaced with all new lines and o-rings. The injectors were replaced with single shot 238/100 hybrid injectors from Beans Diesel. All programming for the hybrid injectors and engine control is controlled by a TSP six position chip programmed with tunes from Beans Diesel. The factory intercooler was replaced with the larger 6.0 intercooler. all new glow plugs and solenoids were installed as both under valve cover wiring harnesses. In addition to that a cool mist methanol/water injection unit was installed which if the tank is filled with water will lower your EGT's while towing by 300° or if windshield washer fluid is installed which is mainly a 50-50 methanol mix it will increase your horsepower 60+ without an increase in EGT's. Larger horsepower gains can be accomplished by use of full methanol but I have never done this nor would I advise. Of course the water pump alternator power steering pump and almost every other component not mentioned on this engine has been replaced. The motor in this configuration is rated at around 550hp without add on's. It has run superbly without incident for over 30,000 miles,and will pull anything!!! It gets 25mpg unloaded on economy setting and 17mpgwith a loaded 18' traileron the towing setting.
3. Transmission
Due to the increase in horsepower and torque the factory 4R100 automatic transmission would not hold up. So I made the decision to convert it over to a ZF6 Manual. I purchased a whole 2000 F250 to do the conversion. The Excursion steering column instrument cluster were all replaced with the manual components. The electronic transfer case was split open inspected new chain installed and the input was converted over to the ZF6. The ZF6 was opened and inspected and put together with all new seals. The clutch pedal assembly and all new hydraulics were installed in the Excursion. A brand-new double disc clutch set up from South Bend Clutch was installed. It has very minimal pedal pressure as it is their top of the line. Both driveshafts were inspected and universals replaced and serviced as needed. Upon inspection you cannot tell that it was ever an automatic.
4. Suspension and Brakes
All springs were replaced with 6" lift custom made Procomp heavy duty springs, 3/4 front, 1 ton rears (No squatting with heavy trailer loads). All shocks were replaced with Rough Country brand heavy-duty shocks and a matching dual steering stabilizer was installed. The front axle has been upgraded to 410 gears with newupper and lower ball joint, tie rods, drag link, all bearings, seals, and both hubs installed. In addition the front brake were replaced with drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic brakes and new calipers. The front sway bar was replaced with the heavy duty 1" unit and drop brackets were installed. The rear axle was replaced with a upgraded 2008 F350 1 ton axle (larger brakes and the larger ring and pinion). In addition the ring in pinon were changed out to the matching 410 ratio, aluminum finned cover installed and the Posi-traction unit was rebuilt. Of course all new rotors, ceramic brake pad and calipers were installed. In addition, the steering box, lines and pump werereplaced with new or remanufactured units, a Rough Country drop pitman arm and drop drag link bracket were installed. The hydroboost was serviced and rebuilt. I do have a heavy duty 1 inch rear sway bar and ends not installed that go with the sale. It has 20 inch XD Riot rims, wrapped in brand new 37 inch Cooper Discoverer STT tires.
5. Interior
The excursion comes factory with leather seats and seating for seven, I removed the center bench seat (which will be included with the sale) and installed Oem captain chairs. It has power windows, tilt, adjustable pedals, digital dual climate control, heated seats,Cruise control, XM radio Navigation ready double din DVD player (with rear display), back up camera, with Bluetooth and hands free with dual zones. the Excursion also comes with steering wheel controls for both climate control and radio functions. Plus built in Homelink.
6. Misc.
The excursion has been an amazing vehicle. I hate that no longer need it as my children have grown. It has a ton of room and will move or tow anything you want to. I have way more than 40K invested in this vehicle(my reserve is much lower). I won't say it's perfect but it's pretty close, I put the mileage down as when it was redone (please keep in mind this is a combination of four or five different vehicles).
