2001 Ford Excursion Limited Description

Up for auction is this very unique 2001 Ford Excursion Limited. Unique due to this Excursion has never pulled anything since new (evidence isthat the receiver hitch pin holes have no wear). It was only used for hauling real estate clients to show properties in the Plano, Texas area. It has always been maintained by the Ford garage in Plano. Always kept inside. The body and paint are like new.

I searched a long time for the perfect Excursion for my car show project before finding this perfect specimen. The project began by adding a premium super lift 8" suspension system with the upgraded Bilstein shock absorbers. Next I added the very best tires available which are made by Toyo. The M/T Toyos are 40x13.50xR17. Wheels are premium Helo 10x17 chromed aluminum alloy. Each tire and wheel combo required only the maximum of 3 ounces each to balance! The tires have the proper 5/16 steering stop to keep the tires from rubbing on the leaf springs at full steering lock; allowing this Excursion to turn nearly as sharp as when original. Also added a new chrome front bumper andnew LED taillights. A new smoked bugdeflector was also added.

This Excursionhas an amazing ride and drive. Drives straight and does not wander. This is why I did my research and spent money on the best wheels and tires for this Excursion. This build has only a couple of hundred miles on it.

This Excursion has the bullet-proof Tritan V10 and is super reliable. I have owned several Excursions with V10s over the years. The first one was new in the fall of 1999 and have been the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned.

It has all ten new Motorcraft sparkplugs and all ten new Motorcraft coil packs. New brakes. New fuel pump in tank. This is a loaded Limited model with leather seats and third row seating.
