1989 Ford Mustang GT Description

Really nice, tastefully upgraded, great running and driving, relatively low mileage 1989 Ford Mustang GT. It's only had 2 owners (including a 21 year first owner!) and has spent it's entire life in the dry, mild climate of Southern California. I'm selling it for my brother who lives in Los Angeles. He is a serious Mustang fanatic (this is his 4th) and only does upgrades after conducting an immense amount of study first. Among my circle of family and friends I'm the Ebay go-to guy when they want something sold.
Below is a list of its goodies in no particular order...

The running gear in this Mustang is in excellent condition. Not included in the above list is an extensive routine maintenance history. It's been loved mechanically and it shows. I drove it the 400 miles from Los Angeles to St. George, Utah (where I live) and was struck by how well-sorted it is. The ride is firm but not at all punishing. And I got over 24 miles to the gallon at a relatively steady 75 miles per hour. The transmission work is amazing; first, second, and third gear give it great acceleration and performance with aggressive, firm shift points. Fourth gear makes it a very comfortable and economical long distance cruiser. The only flaw I've found is a small power steering fluid leak. I'd drive it cross-country in a heartbeat.
The interior is in very good condition with exceptional upholstery. My brother bought seat covers immediately after buying the car and had me install them almost six years ago. Shortly thereafter I installed the rear seat delete kit and put the seats in storage. Interior flaws are limited to scratches on the passenger door grab handle and driver side plastic panel in the hatchback area. He is in a wheelchair so it would rub against them while he was transferring himself in and out or stowing his wheelchair. Not a big deal (see pics). I removed the stereo because my brother wanted to keep it. The plate covers very sanitary wiring with an aftermarket harness already plugged into the factory harness. Doors both lock but auto function on passenger side does not work.
The only real flaw is the exterior cosmetics. There are some scratches here and there you can see in my pictures. The front bumper should be resprayed and the right front fender has a small dent above the wheel opening. And four years ago my brother was hit in the drivers door. It required a new door and work to the front and some of the rear and bottom of the door frame. The top and most of the rear and bottom of the door frame were not affected (see pics). The quarter panel was not damaged and the front fender was barely touched. At the same time he had the entire car repainted in the original Cabernet Red. He has been driving it ever since without issue. It would not take much effort to make the exterior beautiful again.
My name is Chris and I am happy to answer your questions. Please call me at 435-669-1470. I also have almost 200 pictures that show every nook and cranny in great detail (including the undercarriage). Send or text me your email address and I'll get them to you. It is ready to enjoy today so you may want to consider flying in and driving home. That would be a fun adventure and I'd be happy to help facilitate it. This impressive 1989 Ford Mustang GTis located in the dry, desert community of St. George, Utah(a little over 100 miles north of Las Vegas). Good luck and good bidding.
