1965 Ford Mustang Rust Bucket Project Description

No motor, transmission, or differential. So why do I think this rusted out hulk of a car is worth $3500? Because originally a 289 4-barrel 4-speed Caspian blue convertible. Clear Ohio title in my name. Title says 69,624 miles. Even though the engine and transmission are missing they can be replaced because in 1965 there wouldn't have been a serial number stamped into the engine block unless the engine was a Hipo, even then it would be iffy. I've seen some '65 top loaders with serial numbers stamped in them and some without serial numbers. If you really wanted to do this car right just find an engine, transmission, differential, bellhousing, etc with the right casting numbers and casting date with no serial numbers and you're good, Ford made tens of thousands of cars with the right casting numbers and dates, they don't have to just be off a Mustang. Truck, Falcons, galaxies, wagons, you name it used the same parts. The mechanical parts off this car are pretty generic. This car is a prime candidate for a Dynacorn complete body because of the options. Could you make it into a GT? The driver's front apron has a wrinkle from an accident and a little rust on the serial number but a good body man could dolly it out so you couldn't even tell it had ever been damaged without any filler. I took a lot of pictures of the left front apron because it's very important. This car isn't some sucky mid-sixties washed out gold or green color, it's "Midnight Blue". You can decode the warranty plate yourself, the picture is pretty clear. There wouldn't have been a buck tag on this car, The top rack is pretty decent. The driver's front bucket seat is missing. The other seat frames are in bad shape. CLICK HERE for the first big picture. CLICK HERE for the second big picture. CLICK HERE for the third big picture.
