1966 Ford Fairlane GTA Description

Up for bids is a very nice 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 GTA 2 door hardtop,. This is an original "S" Code 390 GTA, not a clone. It is painted the original Ivy Green Poly ("R" Code) with a black interior (86 Code), restored to original. The 390 FE engine has been rebuilt, bored .060" over, new Hi-Po hydrallic cam, 8 qt. Milodon pan, headers, MSD ignition and topped off with an original 1963 R code Galaxie dual quad manifold with Holley Carbs (carbs not believed to be original). The C-6 transmission has been rebuilt and fitted with an oil cooler. It has a 3.91 limited slip 9 inch rear, power steering and manual disc front brakes. In addition, it has a new exhaust system, new radiator, master cylinder and taillights. All the chrome and glassare very nice. All gauges work. This Fairlane is rust free, coming from Dealer Zone 72 (San Jose). The body code is 63D, build date 10E. Axle 4, Trans 4. Currently, the wipers are not working. This is an extremely strong running and driving car that has been kept in a climate controlled garage. VIN 6K40Sxxxxx. The car has a clear Maryland title in the owner's name. Mileage shows 96,800, but that may not be accurate.
