1957 Ford Thunderbird Description

This is an original 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible with both hard (white) and soft (black) tops. One original owner with original bill of sale, purchased July 19, 1957 at Christensen & Weiss Motors, Elmhurst, NY. Always garaged and properly maintained. Runs nicely! This was my father's primary car throughout my life. Upon his retirement, he set out to refurbish it. 224,000 original miles with the engine (312 cu. inch /V8) rebuilt at 188,000 by Ford with their guarantee. Any rust damage to the sheet metal has been replaced along with both front fenders and two sections of frame. The Fordomatic transmission and Holley 4-barrel carburetor both have been rebuilt. Most mechanical parts and ignition wiring have been replaced including generator, radiator, brake drums and pads, 2 electric window motors, electric starter motor, etc. Carpeting has also been replaced. Replacement vinyl seat cover set over original worn upholstery. Pioneer replacement radio. The last few minor repairs and adjustments are left for you. (ie: crack in the passenger side window (shown)). Complete service records provided. Located in Fairfield County, western Connecticut. Buyer provides pick-up. Car sold "as is”.
