This SHO has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. It's the Rapid Spec 402B package, which includes:
Aside from those amenities, it also has Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, Hard drive-based, voice-activated Navigation System featuring SIRIUS Travel Link and nearly 10 gigabytes of digital storage for pictures and music; includes AM/FM stereo/single-CD/DVD, and MP3 capability Multi-contour Active Motion massaging front seats. Yes, you read that right... massaging seats.
Seriously, this thing is loaded and has been meticulously taken care of.
I purchased this car in June of 2016 from a local Doctor. I've kept it up to date with meticulous maintenance. Soon after purchase, I took it to the dealer to get recall # 15S02 (Interior Door Handle) and field service action #14R01 (License Plate Lamp Assembly) repaired.
In May of 2016, this SHO got an upgrade! I swapped in a Performance Package engine from a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO. This new motor was swapped in with 48,232 miles on the odometer (and 99,648 on the 2010 body). The additional benefits of the new Performance Package motor include an oil cooler, updated design, and engine block heater. When swapping in the new motor, I also swapped in all new injectors and spark plugs as well.
This car has spent it's life with me travelling the highways in the south. I would estimate that 90% of the miles on the vehicle are highway miles. The chassis now has 122,594 miles on it, while the 2013 PP motor has 71,178 miles on it. I've always changed the oil every 3,500 miles with premium synthetic oil (either Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum) and always used a Motorcraft FL-500S oil filter. Additionally, it got all new Falken Ziex ZE950 (245/45/R20) tires on 11/14/16. That same week, the SHO got new rotors and pads on all four corners.
I just had the tires rotated and brake system flushed with all new fluid on 6/17/17 and just did an oil change with Mobil 1 Synthetic and FL-500S Filter on 7/2/17.
On 6/25/17 I upgraded the Ford Sync to the latest available software update.
When it comes to washing, this car has never seen an automatic car wash, and it spends its life in a garage. I always use the two-bucket system to wash my vehicles to prevent microscratches of the paint. The interior has always been kept clean, there are no stains, and it's never been smoked in.
I hate to get rid of it because it's a blast to drive, looks awesome, and is extremely comfortable on road trips. Unfortunately, sometimes life throws you a curveball and you gotta step up to the plate and do what you gotta do.
If you take this SHO home, you'll get an awesome car with luxury amenities, a strong and upgraded motor, and the ability to tune it to unleash even more power (if you're into that).
