This item is being listed for a friend who has retired and is moving out of state. He can't take all hiss toys with him so he has to let some go. This is one of them. Please call 203-509-2835 and ask for/leave message for Dave for ALL questions concerning this vehicle. I'm just listing it for him
Here's the Tech: 1937 Ford Pick-up cab and chassis rolling project. There is a 1936 grille shell currently installed. Powertrain consisted of a mid 90's Mustang engine that has been equipped with an Edalbrock intake and 4 barrel carburetor. There are headers and a duel exhaust system currently installed (unknown brand of headers or pipes) The engine was sold to him as a 'running engine'; whatever that means. It has a 4 speed transmission with a 9" rear end, disc front and drum rear brakes.
The seat came from a 'compact import car' as far as the owner knows when he bought them from a salvage yard (who knows the make/model they came from). They are mounted on custom welded seat frames that look pretty nicely made. The owner recently installed a Chevy 28" tilt column that had been professionally rebuilt. The truck is sitting on a set of 90's Centerline aluminum rims and radial tires. Brake system is not done; needs completion.
The front doors have all new internal parts installed (regulators, tracks, etc.). There is ONLY the front window glass and frame, the rest are missing. The fuel system has not been addressed; the tank has been replaced but that is all. There is NO WIRING SYSTEM; there is a new harness that has not been installed yet that come with this project. There are 2 NOS heavy-duty fiberglass 12-inch wide rear fenders included, a 1929 Ford front bumper that was going to be modded included along with the original 1937 hood and a collection of small odds and end parts box.
There is a 1936 Chevy bed included in the sale of this truck; you will have to modify it to fit this chassis to use it. Not original or correct but at least it's a bed.
Bodywork on the cab is done; in primer paint now and needs color coat. This is a good project starting point for any Ford truck fan with vintage iron dreams! I don't think it would take too much effort to finish this truck and get it on the road again.
