1997 F250 HD 7.3 Powerstroke, crew cab, short bed, automatic 4x4, Black

Up for auction is my 1997 7.3 Powerstroke. The was a Florida truck, that has been in central Illinois for the last 6 months and never saw snow or Ice.(Salt)

I purchased this vehicle from south Florida with the intention of a full restoration. Since then, I purchased an 05' F250 Harley Davidson that I have been restoring and basically, lost interest as well as have too many toys.

Let's start off with what has been installed brand new in the last 6 months:

1. Front and rear Ranch hand bumpers (Rear has the Reese hitch welded to the Ranch hand)

2. Both Front Leaf springs (Triple springs vs the original dual springs) and hangers/hardware

3. New wheels

4. New Tires-Toyo Open Country (295/75R16)

5. New shocks

6. Alignment

7. Brakes, front and rear (Complete on the rear, drums, shoes,wheel cylinders, springs, adjusters, etc)

8. Headlights

9. Tailgate

10.Two Batteries

11.Alternator

12.Glow plugs-Harness Gasket, glow plugs, etc.

13.Belt

14.Idler pulley

15.Both front door panels

16.Both rear window motors

17.Carpet

18.Locking hubs

19.Carrier Bearing

20.Shift arm and bushing

21.New BOSS stereo

This truck runs great. Before I did any of the work, I drove this truck from South Florida all the way to Central Illinois. These trucks are extremely reliable. I will name just a few good points, then go through some areas of improvement that are needed.

The Good:

· Runs, sounds and looks great

· Florida truck (Currently in central Illinois) 6 months

· Ranch hand bumpers (New)

· 4.10 Gears

· AC works, blows cold. (Didn't shift off of defrost, but found the vacuum hose off) Fan motor only works on high (Didn't have the opportunity to address the fan speed issue)

· Power window's work, rear driver side occasionally sticks, believe track needs adjusted

· Shifts good

· 4x4 Hi and low engages, hubs appear to engage (Haven't officially tested off road to verify)

· The new springs and shocks really help the ride

· Dual fuel tanks

· Straight exhaust no cat

· Goose neck hitch

· A lot of new parts, yet to be installed (Over $1200.00)

The bad:

· Cruise control and horn do not work. (Never had the chance to troubleshoot)

· Head liner needs replaced. Couple stains and tears (Will ship a new one with the truck)

· Rear seat and seat belts need bolted down. Replaced carpet and did not have the opportunity to secure.

· Speakers should be replaced (Old and poor quality)

· Only high speed works for AC fan motor. (Most likely just resistor wire, haven't had the chance to verify)

· Some scratches and dents (Could use some bodywork and a paint job)

· Rust on side mirror brackets

· Brake/ABS lights stuck on

· Spare rim, but not tire

Truck currently has 254,998 miles. The miles will increase as I do drive this regularly. Vehicle is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. I have described the truck to the best of my ability. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Truck can be held for a short period while freight is arranged, not an issue (Parked under my barn awning) Winning bidder has 24 hrs to submit $1000 deposit through paypal.
