1929 Ford Model A RPU Description
***Your Chance to Own a Beautiful One-of-a-Kind Henry Ford Steel 1929 Model A Pickup Roadster and Custom Trailer***
Like many other nostalgic automobiles, this 1929 Model A has a great story...
This rare find started its life as a standard 1929 Ford Model A pickup truck in California and was later purchased and built to drag race in the 1950's by Bruce and Martin Whitmer. After spending time racing at the famed San Luis Obispo airport drag strip, the truck was placed into storage until being bought by a Northern California couple in the mid-1980's as a project.
The husband (a retired master GM mechanic at a local Chevy dealership) got to work on the Model A and built the roadster seen in the pictures. With the truck nearly complete after many years of building, he passed away suddenly in the early 2000's. The Model A sat for a few more years until the wife had a family friend perform the final touches needed to bring the roadster to life in 2006.
Since the roadster'scompletion in 2006, the wife has towed it to a few car shows and out of the garage once for pictures...This custom has not been driven except for on and off the trailer a couple of times.
The roadster has had the fluids changed and gas tank cleaned in the last 3 weeks and was fired up with a new battery. The truck runs great and will need to be broken in as it has never been on the road.
***Included with the roadster purchase is a DUAL-AXLE CUSTOM TRAILER that was built to take the Model A on trips and to car shows that were farther away than a short drive.***

There are many more details to the roadster and I am happy to answer any questions I can. To sum up the auction in a sentence or two;
You would be buying a lovingly restored original Ford Model A that has not been driven since the project was completed in 2006. The owner has had it covered in the garage on the [included] trailer and it has sat undisturbed with the exception of being trailered to a few nearby car shows several years ago.
The car is currently available to show (by appointment only) in Montague, CA and can be picked up locally after full payment. Shipping and/or hauling the vehicle out of state may be arranged and it is the buyer's responsibility to pay for all costs to do so. Questions on the vehicle may be directed to:
