1947 Ford Other Pickups Description

Here is your chance to own a nice 1947 Ford 1/2 ton Shortbed pickup.A great looking, smooth running, driver, that you will be proud to drive to your local Cruise in, car show or even run to the hardware store or Lumber Yard. Though that bed is nicely finished so you will want to bring along a blanket or two to keep from scratching it up. Glossy smooth 2 part Urethane paint with a nice Overall shine. Professionally Completed by Bucci Auto Body in Cumberland RI.A beautifully finished interior including new seat springs, covered with Lebaron Bonney Upholstery, and a nicely fit Headliner. (someone knew what they were doing when they put it in. Fits like a glove.) She is the recipient of a Multi year Restoration, completed in 2012, in which she was all disassembled, where everything that needed to be, was addressed. All new Brakes, 5 new Tires, Exhaust, Water Pumps, Clutch, Cooling system and Fuel System all rebuilt, Complete new correct wire harnes, Starter rebuilt, and a Full tune up including rebuilt distributor. While being restored the engine was checked out and having good compression between 100 and 110 per cylinder was deemed to not need a rebuild and was cleaned and painted then reinstalled with new motor mounts. Runs great without overheating, or any smoke. All Sheetmetal was blasted, stripped and painte, then reassembled.Glass and Rubber all replaced as well. She's a nice solid truck having spent Most of her lIfe in North Dakota until she was sent East for her restoration.Though She's a great old truck and you could never bring one to this level for the reserve price from the junk shells being sold now a days, She's not perfect. There are just a few blemishes I will be more than happy to send you photos of.She was restored to be a nice driver or local show Truck and presents quite well, but not to Concoursstandards, so I strongly encourage anyone interested in her, to please make arrangements to view her in person before bidding.I also have additional detailed photos I can send and will gladly get more of any angle you may want to see.She is all steel except the rear fenders which are fiberglass. There are steel rear fenders for her, but being a ND Farm truck they are beat up from life on the farm though the bed looks to have survived in really nice shape before the restoration. If one chose, though she is really sharp now, with some light work improving a few details, she could even be taken a notch higher. Why buy one of those junk rotted out shells and work on it/ spend lots of money to build a truck that you can buy for less and be driving today.
