1966 Ford F-100 Base Description

Yeah its dirty but don't let it fool you on how solid this little F100 actually is. 1966 2wd long bed
I originally bought the truck in 2000 and am the third owner of the truck, originally came from san diego and has spent its entire life in oregon and washington. For the most it's spent most time in the high desert of central oregon and is 99% rust free. Yes, there is some surface rust inside the cab but overall the truck is in very good shape. Few dings here and there, but what do you expect for a 50+ year old project?
I've had plans over the years and have slowly worked on the truck and have done several upgrades while I've owned it. Mechanically the truck is sound, the body is solid. Great cab corners, rockers, cab mounts, floor, core support and all are in excellent shape. No holes or other issues. The bed is solid, but does have two factory holes in the floor for factory bed fuel tanks (wasn't included when I bought the truck) Other then that, bed has zero rot at all. Little ding top right side of tailgate, no other issues.
I have actually quite a bit invested under the truck so far, mad little 300 mix with a five speed.
1988 HD 300 block with forged crank and rods, block has been bored out 4.050 for 352 flat top pistons, low friction rings. High volume oil pump, new seals top to bottom. Block was dipped and x rayed and found no cracks. Upgraded electric system requires no points or condenser to fail and change out.
1965 240 head that has been ported, port matched and polished, studs added and decked .020. Oregon cam grinders 272/272 custom grind cam. Comp cams push rods, springs, chevy 292 roller rockers. New hard seated valves. All hardware has been replaced or upgraded.
Offenhauser dual plane 4bbl intake, 1'' poly spacer and a holley 390 cfm 4bbl carb. (also have 2x4 adapter plate and a holley 500 cfm 2bbl that will come with the truck) Headman headers split header, 2.5'' exhaust with flowmaster 40 series delta mufflers. I have about $4,800 into the motor alone and is rated 340 hp and 400 lbs of torque, more then double a stock inline six. Motor and tranny have less then 15,000 miles on them since rebuild. Note- motor was distressed after I built it, can't have something shiny when the rest of the truck is ugly.
1989 Ford M5OD manual five speed transmission which has been gone through, new synchros and seals added. New flywheel, upgraded from the 10'' disc clutch to a HD 11'' disc, new pressure plate, throw out bearing, new clutch master, hydraulic lines and slave cylinder. I had to shorten the driveline 6'', which also has new u joints and carrier bearing. I changed the rear end ratio in the 9'' from a 4.88 (stock) to a 3.73. Rear end also has new wheel cylinders, seals, drums, shoes, and brake hardware. New brake lines front to rear. Truck drives great at 70 mph, only turns about 1,700 rpm with the tranny and rear gear change. Rear also has newer poly bushings in the rear leafs.
I have also upgraded the front suspension and brakes for more modern driving. I used a 1976 F150 for a donor and was able to add front disc brakes, power steering and power brake booster to the truck, got rid of the single pot non powered master for a more modern two hole brake master. Of course, anyone that has done this to an older truck knows the night and day difference between the driving habits of a non powered to assisted truck, more city friendly. Of course it has new poly bushing in the beams and trailing arms, new tie rods, drag links, the steering box has been rebuilt and is tight, new seals, bearings, rotors, calipers, pads, etc. Also have a 1 1/2'' front sway bar that needs installed but will come in the bed with all the other spare parts.
As you can see I have a bunch of extra parts that will be going with the truck, I have a spare driver side fender since the one on the truck is rough, but wouldn't take much to knock out if wanted to. I have two aluminum grills for the truck, one '64 and the other for a '66 in very good shape without any major dings or scratches in them, plus the headlight doors. Also have the correct upper valance with turn signals, one in the truck came from another '64. I had plans to customize the truck when body work came due, never got to that point and have since changed plans. Also have a lower valance from a '62 1 ton truck as well as two extra sets of wheels, extra interior pieces, motor stuff, and a new ignition switch in the glove box, ready for installation. I had thoughts of dropping the body onto a modern crown victoria chassis, shortening up the bed and everything needed for the swap. Funny how life changes, I also have a four butt that needs a spot to sit, so I've made the decision to sell this truck and find something older for the growing family can all enjoy. I can see to potential for this truck, I hope the next owner will as well.
I have the title, clear in oregon with no issues in hand. I WILL NOT be selling the plates with the truck, I have created an identity around the phrase and have had them on the truck since 2002. Title will be signed and sent once plates are back into my hands, and include a oregon bill of sale along with the title. Truck is currently a daily driver, fully insured and registered. I wouldn't hesitate driving it to town, to the midwest or east coast. I will ship the truck anywhere, any point on the globe once arrangements are made. I can also meet in person since I have the truck at a friends house, job requirements had me move from oregon to nebraska, couldn't bring it all with me. I can provide a lot more pictures upon request, ebay only allows so many per ad. I do have quite a bit of money already invested into this truck, so please bid fair.
AGAIN, CURRENT LICENSE PLATES ARE NOT PART OF THE SALE OF THE TRUCK!!!!
Thanks again for your time and happy bidding!
