1985 Ford Mustang 302 5.0
1985 Ford Mustang Description
I have owned this Mustang since Feb 2003. It has been kept in a garage for the past 5 years and was under a carport before then. I have maybe put 5,000 miles on it in the last 10 years. I keep it on a trickle charger and hardly drive it anymore. It's time to let her go.
I'll start off by telling you the biggest things that I know are wrong with the car. First, the motor could use a rebuilding. It is burning oil and it has been for a few years. It would be fine driving around as is because I've been doing it for years but it will foul a spark plug if you really get on the gas too many times in a row. It needs a couple of new gaskets and seals that drip small amounts of oil. Wiper motor works but windshield washer does not. I managed to snap off the speedometer needle and it no longer moves. I always used the tachometer to judge my speed afterwards. The AC does not work. Map light does not work. Horn does not work. The dashboard has a couple of cracks and the tires are probably about 85% used up.
Now for the good stuff. Overall, the interior is in good shape for its age. It has working power windows. Carpet is clean and I have the Mustang pony floor mats. I replaced the front seats with seats from a 94 mustang. The body is rust free. It does have some minor scratches that can be seen close up but the paint is overall in decent shape. I have a picture of the worst spot on the car. It is on drivers side half way up the hatchback. No noticeable dents. This car sounds awesome. The combo of the cam and exhaust system has a deep loping sound to it that will vibrate the ground just a little. Here is a list of some of the upgrades made to this car. Take notice that the heads alone cost me $1,600.

I never have had a title but a bill of sale is fine for a vehicle of this age. The odometer rolls over after every 100,000 miles and curently reads approx 51,000. I don't know if it's actually 151k or 251k. Like I said, I haven't put many miles on it myself in 14 years of ownership so neither mileage would surprise me.
