1981 Ford Fairmont Description

FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO SAY THAT YES THE TITLE SAYS FAIRMONT BUT IT IS A MRECURY ZEPHYR Z7. I DID FAIRMONT BECAUSE EBAY DOES NOT HAVE THE ZEPHYR AS AN OPTION AND DID NOT WANT TO LIST IT AS OTHER.

I believe I am the 4th owner. the first 2 were the same family. It was originally purchased here in Colorado Springs, Co. from a company called Foss Lincoln Mercury which is no longer around.

This 81 Zephyr Z7 has just under 62,000 miles with an automatic transmission. It has power steering, power disc brakes, tilt, cruise control which works, and ac which blows but not cold air. It has been repainted once along with new vinyl tops but not sure when. Interior is fantastic. there is a crack in the dash but the dash cover is over it and the headliner is missing. Came unglued and fell down. The rear defrost does work, windows are tinted and it has been lowered about 1.5 inches. It has new brakes all around, new plugs, wires, cap, fresh fluid changes. it runs really good and drives nice. It does hesitate sometimes and stalls. I believe the carb needs rebuilt or replaced. No biggie 1 barrel carbs are easy. All of the chrome trim is fantastic, body has 3 small dent in passenger rear quarter hard to see since the car is white. As you can see n the pic, the crack in the paint is in the passenger quarter panel lip. All of the glass is good and does not leak. doors close like new.
