Overview
Power for the Ford Flex comes from a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6 making 287 hp engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. all-wheel drive is optional with the base engine and Limited. A rearview camera is standard, while SYNC 3 is added a 12-speaker Sony audio system, Blind Spot Monitoring System (BLIS), and leather seats are standard on Limited models.
Safety
Although it earned four out of five stars in the NHTSA’s rollover test, the 2017 Ford Flex hasn’t been evaluated in the frontal or side tests. In IIHS testing, the 2017 Flex earned a Good rating in the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints & seats test, but only an Acceptable in the small overlap front test and a Basic rating for its optional Forward Collision Warning. Inflatable rear seat belts are available.
