NO RESERVE 2003 Ford Expedition V8 5.4L Eddie Bauer
2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Description
For sale is our 2003 Ford Expedition. Originally bought for inclement weather and managing our investment properties, we no longer have a need for a vehicle this large for a family of two. I have another listing for my 2007 Corvette - please note that I'm not a dealer; we have 4 vehicles and are going down to 2.
Truck is in very good condition for it's age and mileage. I bought it in 2015 from a mechanic in King's Mountain, NC. He bought it from one of his customers when the transmission went out and he used the vehicle for transporting his clients.
In 2016, I put Pirelli tires on it, which have less than 2,000 miles on them and are rated for 65,000 miles. The truck has a small rip on the driver's seat (as almost every 2003 Expedition does). I just had the A/C serviced - completely drained the refrigerant, dyed, checked for leaks, and repumped with refrigerant. A/C blows nice and cold. The front and rear rotors were also just resurfaced and it received new front/rear pads in 2015. It also has a new battery in 2016.
There is a dent on the corner of the hood (see photo) and there are some scratches on the front driver's side bumper (see photo). Otherwise, the body is in very good condition.
It has a 6-disc in-dash CD player, but has CDs stuck in it and says CD error. I have not gone through the trouble of trying to remove them or remove the head unit. It was working for the life of the vehicle and recently displayed that message.
The rear vents that slide open (on the rear windows) don't work consistently. I would never use them, but just disclosing.
If you're familiar with these trucks, you know about their ignition coil "feature"... I have had 4 ignition coils and spark plugs replaced and have the remaining parts needed to complete the other 4 that will be included with the purchase.
A reminder - the vehicle is 14-15 years old and is not in perfect condition. I try to be as honest and up-front as possible with the photos and description for you to make an educated purchase. Please do not expect perfection for a vehicle of it's age and mileage.
Otherwise, the truck is solid and a lot of car for the money.
The vehicle sold as-is in a suburb just north of Charlotte, NC (Huntersville). I'm willing to assist with shipping and/or private inspections, at the buyer's responsibility and expense - I do not work for free, so please don't ask me to drive it to South Carolina so your cousin's nephew can check it out.
A $1,000 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction ending (or equal documentation showing serious interest; I.E. a plane ticket to Charlotte). Full payment is due within 7 days after auction ending. Certified check, cash, or bank wire only. No PayPal, money orders, Princes from Africa money, etc. I am not going to export the car overseas, so don't ask.
Thank you for your interest and God bless.
