1997 Ford F-150 XLT Description

Up for sale is my 1997 Ford F-150 XLT. It is an automatic with 4x4, 141050 miles. The engine is the Trion 4.6L V8.
I've owned the truck two years and have upgraded to a 3/4-ton truck to haul a newly purchased camper. The truck is reliable and has no leaks and NO rust on the rear quarter of the cab, rocker panels, door sills or wheel wells. There is a small rusting area behind the corner of the rear bumper (shown in a photo).
The driver's exhaust manifold was recently replaced as was the front brakes & rotors, starter and stater cables. There is a brand new brake controller and 6-pin/4-pin trailer socket installed. Towing capacity for this vehicle is 6,800 pounds. Throttle body & EGR was recently removed and cleaned. Driver door weatherstripping was replaced this past Spring.
PA inspection and emissions is good through July, 2018. At inspection (in May 2017) tire depth ranged from 6 to 8/32.
The truck cap is removable but I wouldn't recommend doing it solo. It provided the perfect amount of bed weight in rain and snow.

The extended cab has a third door on the passenger side.
There is an aftermarket stereo installed with a removable face. It has a USB input for charging a phone and streaming music.
There is a small piece of the grille that is chipped (picture attached) but the surrounding material is not cracked.
Air conditioner blows cold air.
The vent selector occasionally defaults to defrost even when other settings are selected. I assume this indicates a vacuum line issue but I never bothered tracking it down because it never affected the AC temperature and I only put about 5,000 miles on the truck each year so it wasn't my daily driver.
I've represented this truck as well as I could, honestly describing its positives and negatives. The truck is in the condition as described and there is no warranty. The truck is sold in as-is condition. A personal showing can be arranged - I'm located in Bethel, PA (19507) just off of I-78. I can also send more pictures of specific areas on the truck - just ask. The truck is really in great shape for the age and I will be sad to see it go.
I will be unable to reply to questions or comments from August 6th through the 8th.
