This car didn't come with a back seat originally, the '65 Thunderbird seat fits great. There is a rip in the bench that runs the length of the tunnel.
This has been my daily driver for the last 3 years. It is driven roughly 10 miles a day. I have taken it to Vegas and Reno for two separate occasions and it did well both trips with no problems either time. Roughly 16mpg on the longer trips. Prior to the last 3 years as a daily driver, it was generally a "fair-weather" car. It is in a full length independent film: American Thrill Ride. One of the main characters drove it throughout the film.
According to1957Ford.com, this is one of 6788 made. Moonshiners, drag racers and Nascar used this model as it was the most stock, stripped down car Ford made that year.
I have made some career decisions that are somewhat forcing me to sell this car. I have invested around $15,000.
**Things that don't work**
The instrument panel. When the car was being completely re-wired with new harness etc. The voltage was too much for the panel and it no longer works. There are working gauges for temp, oil, and volts, they are aftermarket.
The wipers. I installed an aftermarket electric conversion motor, which worked for the last 6 years, but now there is a ground issue I may have to work on. The passenger side wiper cable hasn't been hooked up because there isn't one.
The windshield is original so the wear and tear is there. Nothing noticeable in pictures.
**Extras**
I have new in the box side windows and rubber for the fixed side glass.
There are other pieces to the T-Bird seat that can complete a more professional install if needed.
