2001 “Roush Built” Mustang GT Race Car

2001 Ford Mustang GT Description

Originally modified by Roush Racing for Bondurant Racing School in 2001, it has a 4.6L, 425hp, V8 engine with less than 15,000 original miles. It has a 5 speed Tremec transmission. It has a full roll cage and fire suppression system. Cobra R and SVT Cobra suspension. The front brakes are cooled via air ducts that run through the fog light inserts. It has a 22 gallon fuel cell with Roush custom stainless steel braided lines. The battery has been relocated into the trunk. In 2013 the car was sold to Cobra Automotive and upgraded to run in SVRA sanctioned races and comes with an SVRA log book. In March 2014, it ran at the Sebring International Speedway and placed third.

Purchased as a “bill of sale only” car, it is currently a street legal, Mass titled, registered and stickered race car. Some of the required modifications include switching to street tires and installing air bags. The “street slicks” that were on the car go with it as well as the air bag elimination inserts.
